New map

Would it be possible for a new map to be added by may or sooner? I don't think it is that unreasonable when they added one new map last year and there are plenty of ideas for new maps. I just want somewhere new to play because I feel zone is getting boring with out any overly exciting updates. The holiday updates are fun but can they add a new map thats just a different concept than introduced before? If you have any comments about why you think this should or shouldn't be added post them. please don't spam. I don't think anything fancy like a new tile set is needed just a different map with different concepts. If its spar thats fine but they haven't even said anything about it

Yeah really, Missions-4years and Huwajux's spar update.. When the hell.... Really and Stefan give Gambet Scripiting rights (uploading them or w/e). Updates can come faster if can help :O Zone is getting really boring with this same ol' crap the only thing that acutally brings fun is killing hackers and people harassing.

the second part is so true. I know zone's playercount has been up but its getting really boring for those of us older players(i say that including myself so only about a year and a half)

Zone is alive and Healthly but if the update counts don't go up.. .well it soon will be dieing again. Zone only gets what? 1 major update a year. and How many Small updates? like 1-2 a month really that's just sad

I been working on a new urban(I know there are others so stow it) map that is a combination of all maps with like a point system when like capturing flags are like 50 points, killing people 1 point, taking middile base is 1 point each second, and other stuff but i dont think it will be uploaded

But it is completely different to other maps. It has huge buildings to go with it. If you saw my early CTF map screenshot that is about 6 interior levels each with different settings. We must also think about what the players are wanting. Like making people work together, so we must work hard to come up with new ideas.

It is not so much that, but how we can fit the work into the busy lives the staff are leading. I have GCSE coursework, Stefan is always busy with stuff (:P), Gambet can't really script until the maps are given to him or if he beats Stefan to it.

Haha, you are so impatient. It is very hard to get the design perfect. I am not doing a half-arsed job so you guys can just complain about it. So what if it is new? If it is bad all I will receive is hassle and whining babies spamming my PM history.

Oh and one more thing. If you take a look at Sayian's folder with 50+ weapons, armor etc and realise that you and you alone had to gani every single one, I'm sure you would find that kind of off putting. I will do it, of course! But I'm not going to Gani 50+ weapons, make a spar dropship, make sparring rooms, make a CTF dropship, make a CTF Gmap, make 10+ CTF rooms and add onto that all the new ideas and how I must host events otherwise the complaints start again and the hackers and how I must chase them and lock them and kick them and take abuse from malicious users who take pride in making my life a misery AND live a life of a 15 year old kid who already has enough pressure at school with tons of work and deadlines all within a couple of months.

Just lay off us guys, we are working our ****ing asses off. Just because you can't see us working doesn't mean we aren't! You had an update 3 days ago and you are complaining still! I don't even get paid for what I do! None of the team but Stefan does. If you are so desperate for updates try and help take some of the weight off of us by ganing some of those weapons Sayian has in that GFX thread. I think I might turn emo at this rate.

you do a fine job. I just want to get my 2 bits in. Yes and the visible stuff we see finished makes us a lot happier you can turn emo just no /;wrists or /;throat

um i have some solutions that might help to go faster some may already be in use or have better solution dont get mad at my noobiness knowledge
1. Have a programme to helpediting levels, teleports,etc it might take time but after words the work will be done faster :o.
2. Have more staff OR more people to help
3. Have competitions to interest more people to help and have a vote to say which one they prefer (like #2 but more involved)
4. Do some teachings by mail or something to get more people to know about scripting and there project is a new wepon :o
I have more ideas might tell more just tell me what you think about these...be nice

we would have alot more if more people would help, even though Saiyan and Stefans ,etc are like Gods they still need help a normal game makers has like 30 poeple or more in it X_x we have what 4..5?

added a few to your quote then that seems right. Huwa, stefan, and vulcan sometimes maybe? work their tushies off and maybe gambet too if he gets scripting rights... THey work hard put them all in.... Im sure stefan knows someone who could add some stuff to zone if he would just trust another scripter besides himself(he seems kind of anal retentive and don't take the a word the wrong way )

It'd be a safe guess to say that 90% of the players on Zone have no idea how much work is put into the server, and that same 90% doesn't realize just how hard it is to do what they keep begging for.

I've seen levels made by some of you before, know that (mostly) none of you can script, GANI, level, gfx (or even edit the four aforementioned things), and am frankly unsurprised by this reaction :P

Zone probably has the smallest amount of players who know anything useful about development.

i think we should take alpha and CTF out...alpha is a waste of space and all CTF is is like a raiyo/ET hang out...

how do you know it isn't broken? Im pretty sure that a lot more people would play zone if there were consistent updates and the players could at least know about some of them.

Alpha is occasionly used. I have seen CTF have about 30 players this week..... they just need to make it like an event planet where we play in events and the ET's make the planet appear with a command?

thats what most people are trying to do is to just fix thehole and not the futur problem, so in the end people are tending to look only at there current Ass, and not how to improve
