The Economy

If a bug is a small mistake, the economy currently can be compared to this:
The Goliath Bug

Why is this constantly ignored?

Like you can see on my account creation date, iam playing gk since dec 2002, and it gets worse every year, one of the reasons why i currently dont have gold, but vip, because i dont think graal kingdoms is a place worth to play at.

Will something be done about this bug in future?

heh uhm, uhh how is this economy thread related to the economy?

I don't see it..

I do however know that the economy is driven by rare items and event items. In which case there are not enough events lately. Participate on GK and complain for more events, and quit abusing bugs.

Let me clarify it.

What he means is the Diamond bit is getting out of hand, and to what he feels is something needs to be done about it, as to be honest to truly is no economy, just Diamonds for yada yada, Diamonds to do this..blah...blah...

Then again there never was a true economy anyway...

I hope this clarifys what he ment.

To be honest if there were to be a diamond shop that sold diamonds for something like 400 platinum coins, that would solve the problem. Or even to go the way of alchemy and restrict their use on the trade tables.

I could just see a flood of angry messages coming from this suggestion though...

i dont use diamonds, and i know alot of people that dont like them. you cant buy things in shops, their only purpose is to buy things from other players at insane prices. when did they become a type of currency? plats have lost value, theyre barely worth anything now. even in trades youll get "diamonds only." whatever happened to plat/gold/silver?

Diamonds are only used in expensive trades because no one wants to carry around lots of plat.

Yeah but only because theres too much plat around.
Why?

Several bugs in the history of gk allowed goose to lay golden eggs.

I'll agree that bug has killed the economy.
The bug was only active for a few days but in that time people managed to make enough plat to damage the server for a year.

I don't think that a lot of you realize that if diamonds were eliminated as the source of currency, weapons would become hyper-powerful and maps would be used as currency instead.
