Hiring GFX for VS:CONFLICT

VS:C' is about Killing. It's a lot like Graal Kingdoms and Zodiac; you kill players to gain experience, when you have enough experience you level. After several levels you get items so it's not all about statistics, so when you reach level 25 you'll get to choose between a Hat or a Doll etc.

I've posted quite a few screenshots in several other threads and I've also added the picture of the map in my signature. At the moment the overworld is open to public so if you're interested and you want to see some development of the project please log on, if I'm online PM me and I'll show you some weapons and stuff we're workin' on. At the moment, I'm going to be adding a statue of Spark911 on the overworld who will give you weapons whilst UC

I'm not trying to create a Zelda or any of that, however; I do plan on having quests. Either it being a mini-quest for a doll or an actual quest for an heart, several of these are already on the server

Unfortunatly, at the moment I'm only hiring GFX artists, if you're interested please Forum PM me or contact me on VS:CONFLICT! The jobs I'm wanting you to do are quite simple, just jobs at the moment such as sprites for a pick axe or some scuba-diving equipment...

Well they are going for a more "old classic" style and I'm going for a "totally new graal classic" style. I think we'd have too many conflicting ideas in the long run.

Why is it stupid?

What reason do people have to play Versus if it isn't there? Because it's a classic server? So is Unholy Nation and N-Pulse. They already have a playerbase on those servers. What would make people want to really play the server?

I understand that it's a classic server, but it still has to have somethink that sets it apart from other classic servers.

leveling =/= RP

Also, in VS, the leveling system doesn't dominate gameplay. Not to mention, the leveling is based completely off of playerkilling. If you don't PK it doesn't really hurt you, but if you do, it's just kind of an added bonus and gives you extra insentive to continue to do so.

I think you're misinterpreting the word "classic", I'm pretty sure that WDM was to mean "V$:C is going to be classic, not as in the new age classic such as Zodiac.". However, on such an instance, I could be mistaken!

Futher more, I do deeply think that this idea is rather pathetic, and is just trying to keep the player occupied with something to do on V$:C. However, since alot of the worlds -- player; have something similar to this, I don't think that V$:C should be doing this.

Classic for us means.. pk, quests, events, playerhouses, nifty towns, loads of secrets, hours of fun, years of conversation with nice people.

What else would anyone want?

Another thing we try to be classic in:

Our level style aims to be nice, functional and nostalgic, and we try to achieve this aim with using many tiles of current pics1 with some additional tiles of older tilesets.

I think, that many fans of graal like it was years before, will like the server - but it will still be something special. No UN or anything which exists right now on other servers.

Yeah i know. It's not going to be fully classic if it has leveling and **** in it.

Could you point out where I am mistaken, your post is pretty confusing.

It's a good thing, if you wanted to make "your" playerworld a replica of anothers.

You were confused because you assumed I didn't know what you meant by classic playerworld. The fact that you even mentioned Zodiac as a classic type server shows how confused you must have been.

I'm not going to quote you so that this post has no reason to be deleted when yours is, but let me point out to you that you are more than capable of pointing out to me why it is that I'm incorrect here.

You took the time to make your last post, so why not take the time to point out where it is that I'm incorrect. Seems pretty simple to me. Unless of course you're just talking out of your ass and are looking to throw around random insults. In that case you would do something along the lines of....exactly what you're doing.
