I'm sure it's only for example sake - but just to be safe - $1 is way too cheap. Since most people become bored with GK after a year, or a year and a half, you would have to take this into consideration when determining effective costs for such opportunities.

Why differentiate? "Seperate but equal is inheritly unequal" - if I'm some Fortune500 CEO, and I gotta go to work, I'd rather my game gave me the option of paying the price of a cappuchino to pretend I spent the day online instead. And not in the sense of "Lolz I downloaded a bot", in the sense of I would have made 50 plat mining, so here's 50 plat. I can use it to buy a better shovel.
That is an economic system I'm comfortable with, as opposed to You can buy the Silver Pickaxe for 5000 plat, or you can buy the Much Better Gold Pickaxe for $50!...that just leads to a skewed stratified economy of The Rich vs The Poor.
