Sand House Tiles

These are the sand house tiles, which are part of the Kerrigon tileset. What do you think ?

Unbecoming of you, based on your previous work. Poor levels (contrast/saturation).

Door is a bit too... choppy. Roof tiles look pretty good, some mild improvements could be made to them though. Good to see some more work of yours, even if it isn't as impressive as your usual work. You haven't posted any new stuff in a while.

They are unfinished right, cause the walls and everything sure dont have a wall feeling to them at all. Roof is really nice though. What server is this for?

I'm not certain, but that's likely the name of the server.

Mhmm still a work in progress, and yes it is for Kerrigon.

Some of the stuff i've been working on recently,
www.tempozine.com
www.skywide.net (redesign)

Kerrigon tiles : I haven't posted these on here cause they are even close to being done yet. They don't fit together well and need a lot of work. However feel free to look, if you like.

I find both of these fairly bland, but they're a good start. The tileset, you seem to suddenly become aware of it being a tileset. Blookat, for example, had the delicious talent of hiding tilesets. You almost thought you were in a three dimensional level. I'm referring to his work on Archaic.

But with this one, most specifically, www.tempozine.com, what part were you involved with?

I don't follow your logic - do you mean the high-quality development is spread too thin?

Well I enjoy making graphics, and pixeling is an excellent way for me to learn more about lighting and depth. 1 pixel really does make a big difference, after all.

I don't care so much if Graal 'goes anywhere', and it's not like anyone has approached me about working on a server with them.

I'm responsible for the coding.

Oh also, what don't you like about the skywide.net design ?

Seemed really blah. Your style was almost childish with the large elements, and bright colors. Perhaps our styles just don't match, and I'm being bias.

You'll probably pick it up quickly. I find most tilesets which are pixelled look quite piecey.

Pretty much. And I dont understand how these people are going to succeed. Its not like Halo,Gears of War,WarCraft, and other games would have been as good as they are if they were made by 1 decent developer.

The walls look flat (if that makes sense). They don't look like they belong under the roof.. it's hard to explain.

The walls look like a bunch of lines that shape no type figure.

It's a discussion for another sub-forum, and I don't want it discussed in depth in this thread - but if Graal could organize some pseudo-unions of specific skills (as it was previous) I think it could be much more productive.
