The tent and trees are great and the character isn't that bad. A better facial expression and she's right up there with the rest. I love the bow, actually. I have to agree Mykel, it seems the fire is the out of place item here, not the person.

I think the character looks kinda cool. I guess it's because I like oddly cartoony stuff.

I like it, although the character sort of doesn't fit style-wise. Also it looks like she would have a tough time fitting into that tent, but thats getting pretty picky.

Regardless I admire your patience, I would NEVER be able to spend 9 hours on a drawing of any sort, especially one on a computer.

Yes I did.
The original is 7000 by 6000 pixels, so the detail is a lot more detailed than it seems.
Do I work slow ?

You work needlessly huge - and on account of this... you work slow!

I make everything large so I can print it at a high quality, in case I want to use it for something later on. The fact that it's large doesn't really affect how long it takes me to do. I work slow when I'm experimenting with new things, like drawing people. I made a million sketches before I even made this crappy version. I kinda suck at drawing, but I try.

At 300 DPI that's still 23.33x30 inches - still pretty big, huh?

I don't understand why you feel it's bad for me to draw at a high resolution. It leaves me with a more versatile image, and requires the exact same amount of effort as drawing at a low resolution, since i'm just setting the dpi higher and using the same brush strokes. I mean, there are no negative effects on the piece, or on the time spent. The only effects are beneficial.. at least in my mind... iunno

It's a nice piece, but not worth nine hours - you're doing something wrong - working 3x too large may very well be a good start.

I think if you had of done some sort of complex creature like a bear with a great amount of detail it would completely add points to this piece of art work. Overall I think its decent.
