Starry night

It was a quicky, but I think it turned out okay.
What do you think?
(Click to zoom, it looks bad if you don't).
I thought it turned out neat. I plan to use it as a background for a scene or something.

Hay guyz m i doin it rite?

The contrast on that image was way the eff down and I couldn't even see half of it, so I adjusted it as well as the hue of the stars. However, I sense that you used some abnormal brush tool for the beam effect like the burn tool or something, because there wound up being some extra (and almost unnoticable) noise in the beam. If you did so, please stop and try to learn how to effectively layer colors to make the desired effect before you speckle the stars in.

It's cool to see the stars are still yellow. Osnap, they're not. If you're going to adjust the contrast on an image please stop and learn to effectively adjust layers.

Oh, so you couldn't make out all of the fine detail...? Perhaps your monitor isn't adjusted properly. Should we adjust the contrast and hue on the paintings of the masters simply to please some idea that every detail has to be *clearly* seen...? No, I doubt it.

My monitor's on the highest brightness setting at the moment, and I can see mostly everything properly. If I were to adjust the only setting I have left to adjust on it, my screen would begin to look hazy.

That was my aim. If anyone wants to cry over the stars not being yellow, I'm sure I can dry their tears by colorizing it back to yellow.

Too lazy, that would have taken forever. Although I will point out that they aren't all the same size, brightness, or color
I can go back in I suppose

It was supposed to be hard to see the 'beam'.
Haven't you guys heard of the milky way?
Although, I suppose from the dark sky this would have to be (from the number of stars) that it would be more noticeable. But it didn't look right when I first did it. So I took it, and layered it above some stars. I also have made the stars in the band brighter, and more of them.

I like that one Pluffy drawing, but one could say you stole it

I'm not crying over their color shift - I'm illustrating it to show that you had made the same mistake which you had corrected him for.

If I were to be crying, whether it be proverbially or literally, it would be about your ignorance towards atmospheric lighting and its selective employment in this design of Excaliburs, or whatever the Hell he goes by. It was very clearly a intentional use of it, as well.

I restored it to its original color. It wouldn't really be that hard to make it white or any other color.

It's hard to make a mistake when you don't even mean to correct it. If I'm making a correction, I usually bring it up. However, this is a matter of modification.

That wasn't aimed specifically at you. Also, don't act like I'm unaware of why Excaliber decided to use those techniques. You know as well as I do. As I've already said, my modification of it was to bring focus to the rest of the work that was done, and not necessarily to the quality of the work itself. Much like seeing some of the first steps after viewing the finished product to see some of what the artist did in the process.

I'm just stating the truth. I have a certain tenacity to ensure that images have the proper vibrancy so that details can be seen more clearly without being made ugly. (Though my modified picture for details did attain some unintentional noise appearances, but nothing horrendously noticable.) This is a good way for me and possibly others to learn what kinds of things were done in order to produce the elements of the image itself. Not everything I say is apprehensive. It usually just sounds that way.
