I dont like your tiles and I believe if your going to try to create a modern type server (Which Era has done) your going to have to take on areas of both Graphics and game play.

Sadly those tiles seem to have good textures and shadeing but a lot of the line art is pretty bad and the way they all all come together doesnt look good to me either.

My Opinion though, dont cry or cut yourself over it.

We have a few modern/future servers. And we have a hell of a lot more classic style servers. I don't see the point you were trying to make there.
