Alright. I don't have much time for reading the forums and such anymore so I just now saw the thread.

He's probably just waiting for anyone who's slow to notice the thread like I was. That way he doesn't exclude anyone and feel bad about it.

I highly doubt you know what a pediment is, nor much of anything about Art History. This could actually look quite nice if the right person did it.

Anyways, are you ever doing to post this banner? It's been a while...

I'm quite sure I do know what a pediment is.

If you'd actually read the thread you'd understand that the purpose was to make a practical banner, not to make an impractical structure on which to display the banner. Whether it would look nice or not is irrelevant.
Also, if you'd actually read the thread you'd know that Tom is still working on this but is just waiting for more people to submit their characters.

It's been 19 days. He won't be getting many more characters than he's already received.

Just because you use a lot of longer words to sound smarter does not make you smarter.

Quit trying to belittle the other members of the community just because you feel you're well educated at the ripe old age of 16.

So why don't you enlighten us on the history behind the pediment without having to look at outside sources. I doubt you can, so why bother arguing.

Know why you cant? This is taught in a college Art History course, of which I doubt many people have taken/are taking, and also, I know you havn't taken it since Canada has a weird education system.

Well, you ass, I havn't taken it because I'm not in College yet, I'm a senior in High School and I head to University next year, so bite me.

Secondly, you missed my point completely. My point was that even though you happen to know what a pediment is doesn't mean everyone here doesn't know it, and if they don't know it, that doesn't give you the right to insult them you ****ing jerk.

You make me sick, like, I'm actually physically sick right now every time I read one of your posts. You disgust me.

Please don't be arrogant.

You're basing this assumption on your superior knowledge of our "weird" education system. You've really not stated why it's weird, or why - because of being weird - it would change our university level courses.

I've not attended university, I am however in the process of getting my Graphics Design diploma at a college. In my free time I've done some reading and I know why columns are designed and used in this manner.

What he's emphasizing is that podeums/columns are designed to be used in specific manners... in Roman times. Sure, it's classy to keep with those rules - but Hell, you won't see that in the real world where executives make decisions.

Well like really, this guy is worse than Elk. I don't think I've ever seen Gambet make a post where he didn't glorify himself somehow or try to belittle whoever was in the thread.

It's really not that big of a deal if people want to glorify themself... really. Just don't get so worked up about it, let it pass, and they'll eventually get over themself - not that I'm saying that's the case here. Not that I'm not, either.

I stated why it was weird in another thread where Sephiroth became emotionally dramatic.

Succint summary:

AP courses seem to not mean anything in Canada, according to Sephiroth, since teachers find no reason in students taking AP courses over there. Also, according to Sephiroth, college level courses are called Honor Courses of which you can only take as a senior.

Now, in the US, it's totally different. AP courses are "Advanced Placement" courses of which are college level courses. They can be taken during all four years of high school. Honors courses are simply just advanced courses, and can also be taken throughout all of High School.

While I find your education system to be weird, you'd probably feel the same about the US's education system, but after viewing the two, I'd rather be a part of the US education system.

Yes, though you're missing the triglyph, the cornice, the metope or the frieze, and the capital. And those things arn't called pillars either, but seeing as how you made the thing in this text box, I won't criticize you for it.
