Recently, as you all likely know, I've been away from GK.
I've been busy with helping two friends finish a server, and also I've had very pressing issues irl, but those I won't get into. Anyways, since I knew I would be away for quite some time, I appointed Raelyn as regent to rule while I was away from the server so Zormite wouldn't crumble in my absence. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that Raelyn didn't know he was regent - when I learned of this, I contacted him on AIM (fortunately, one of the staff on Zodiac had his screenname) and the kingdom has made a comeback ever since. Now I have a bit more freetime, so I'll be on more often and will actually be able to work on bringing the kingdom back to life. Drakeero has agreed to help me with some of the dev projects on debug, as well as act as a councillor and help with kingdom issues.
I differ from other rulers inasmuch as I am trying to keep Zormite true to its roots, and follow its history as closely as I can - hence the ranks the way they are now (though it is missing a branch, which I didn't realize).

With Drakeero as a developer (and hopefully he'll be active, unlike the last one) I'll be able to finish a few ideas that have been planned for quite awhile now, and any others that he and the council proposes (granted they're good ideas, of course).

That aside, I'm back on GK now after a lengthy absence, and I plan on rebuilding the kingdom.

As stated in my post, I was away from GK.
Thus, I couldn't be active on the server, so I added Raelyn in as a regent to keep the kingdom active. Now that I am back, though, that will change since I have time to actually participate on the server and in rebuilding the kingdom.

If you are spending time working on another server, I personally don't think you are putting too much effort into maintaining the Kingdom. Being away from GK and being on a different server on Graal are two different things.

Because when you're a full leader, you won't have to work for more rights. It happens all the time, people work their ass off when they are a low rank, then as soon as they become a higher/the highest rank, they slack off because they don't get any more treats for doing hard work.

Not sure if you're talking about me being the inactive developer, but I didn't have folder rights on Debug until like 3 days before my computer blew up, and when I got back my Debug RC had been removed.

It was much more than just helping out on another server - I had several things irl that required my attention. While they are still pressing, I have more time to spend on GK now.

If I'm leaving my kingdom in someone else's hands, I'm sure going to make sure he knows and has rights to do so. You didn't even bother to do so.

Don't throw the IRL things out there, it's such an easy way out... you had time to spend on Zodiac, you atleast had time to stop by and see what was going on with your kingdom.

You pick your developers. If you were logging on frequently you would be checking up on them and shouldn't have the problem of someone being inactive.

I had talked with Raelyn about adding him as regent quite a bit, so when I added him I didn't think anything of it. After a few days, I hadn't seen him around, and he stopped logging on Zodiac. Figuring he was logging on GK and keeping the kingdom active, I went back to work and didn't give it another moments thought. Eventually I found out that he didn't know he was regent, so I immediately contacted him on AIM and told him; he promptly logged on and started rebuilding the kingdom. There was a miscommunication there, but that's been resolved for awhile now.

Just a couple, of immediate ones. If Raelyn and I are going to be doing all this, we'd like to be able to start working on it.

Last I heard Raelyn still doesn't have rights.
Two ministries are still missing.

(by the way, my mothers dying of cancer, and I spent most the days going to class and taking care of her, and coming in on the evenings. I'm only on so darn much this week because family is visiting and taking care of her. When they leave, it'll be back to the evenings.)

Yes, I am still missing the rank rights, I spoke to Calani and she is hell bent on keeping some elaborate and unnessesary rank structure with a bunch of ranks nobody uses.

The purpose with bringing up my mother was to say that you can STILL find time to come on and do things, even with a busy life.

Now then.... as long as Calani happens to find a small pocket of time tonight sometime before tomorrow morning to get on and fix some ranks and rights, all will be fine. (for tomorrow)

I'm not one of Bosh's cronies. Bosh has done virtually nothing regarding the Zormite issue for months. I want him to become leader for no reason other than because he won the election.

If you believe I have some other motive for wanting Bosh to be leader, by all means post what you think it is.

In any case, if you or Drakeero manage to become leader, that's useful in the middle-term as well. I'll accept an unconditional offer of Zormite membership from anybody who offers one. It was clearly a mistake to believe that what happened after Zoad was appointed was a one-time-only fluke.

I'm not talking about getting one from you and Calani. There are people besides me and Bosh who want Zormite's leadership, and they include people a lot friendlier with the staff.

We shall see. Calani has not yet done anything to make Zormite more active, AFAIK.

I've heard this is her second time going AWOL on Zormite and coming back after being threatened. That alone should be enough to impeach her.

Referring to your rank list, yes, I already said I was going to trim the ranks list down and add in the priest branch, which will likely be in place later tonight.

And yes, I've been on for most of today.

I just finished the priest rank list and re-arranged them a bit to look nicer, plus removed a few unused ones. Though Raelyn/Drakeero: even before I removed the unusued ranks, my 'sprawling rank structure' had two less ranks (35) than Samurai's 37, which is the next larger (and still considerably smaller than the rest of the kingdoms').

My internet went down for most of today, so I was unable to log in. I'll be on tomorrow and keep up on things then; saturday, I will be busy the entire day, so I won't be on then, either. After then I don't have anything planned; I'll edit my post here if anything crops up.
