3D is only going to put development out of the reach of the players. Sure, GScript may still be there, but you will need so much more skill to make the game look interesting and different as skins and models are very complicated compared to just graphics.
Also, I think it's not worth it. It's been going for so long, as still there isn't that much that I know of (granted, they have been keeping tight lips). But if they had put all that time and resources into a 2D/GK style 3D world I'd bet they would be pleasing more people than they will with 3D. |
