Automatically going left

I massed on a server the following :

I don't know if it's my keyboard but there's something wrong. By vigouriously
pressing the arrows keys sometimes my graal character goes to the left
direction. I tried reconnecting, restarting graal, unplugging/plugging keyboard,
nada. The only way to stop this is restarting the computer. Though it (my graal
character) stop going to the left when writing or holding CTRL or ALT.

I received this helpful PM :

press Num Lock and start pressing buttons on the number pad

keep trying it, it should fix it

It happens to all Graal servers (playerworlds, didn't try Gold servers)

I want to know why this happens and how to make it not happen.

I used to only move in one direction, and was told to uncheck the joystick option in options (worked for me).
I don't know if your problem is the same though.

i had that problem...and then i switched to my moms older computers keyboard, and now mine is fine lol.

did you try doing what that pm told you to do?

Yes and it worked.

My computer does that on zone and our keyboards good Ive pressed numlocks and all and it doesn't the only way it stops is if I COMPLETELY close graal tehn reopen it.

Hmmm may be DirectInput should be disabled by default since there are quite a lot of people with that problem
