Update on Car:

Currently the script supports:
- As many players as I want each car to allow in, It depends on type of cars.
- Local Radio Stations (on GX)
- Diff speeds (depends on car)
- Diff cars entirely.
- Diff amount of people per car.
- Chatroom System aswell as kicking system from car.
- /play <URL> to allow streaming or whatever you choose for your car music.
- Parking Car (Though you can't buy them JUST yet =p)
- Addition to Above: You need the key to get in the car, without holding the key (tradable item) you will not be able to get in the car. (So basically.. to sell a car you just needa give key.) There will be key-duplicating soon, but for car-sales I will need to make the car locks changed I guess.

Future Improvements:
- Drivebys (only out of your window will it allow you to shoot).
- Switching Car Seats via w/ others.
- Right-click (Mute) to not get messages from a player in chat (say he is spamming or something)
- Nitros
- KuJi's Personal Escalade.. seriously =D.
- Crono's sexy police car (not lying =/)

Known Bugs:
- Stack Error (Can't seem to figure out what is up w/ these GUI Controls x.x)
- Getting out of car still keeps others following you (more of a non-done feature to disable it yet - but whatever)

Debugging is over due to scripting parking.. sorry.

loans won't work.
you would have to go far past the boundaries in order to make it work, and it
just slaughters the idea.
for example, people trading the loan money to other accounts, you would
probably have to make a separate money thing only make it "loan money"
and that you can't trade it, it sounds stupid.

then there is also a player can buy a bunch of items with the loan money
and tried the item itself to another account.

Yeah, thats why I am trying to find a work-around.. I think it'd be cool.

I could make loans like.. you need proof that your purchasing something like a house or something soon I plan to add such.

Maybe you can only get loans for cars, biz's, houses etc... and you can't trade the item until its paid off OR the loan goes w/ it?

You wouldn't necessarily have to make separate loan money. If someone IRL takes out a loan, then transfers that 5,000 dollars to a friend or another bank account, they still have to pay back whoever they took the loan from at some point. Just have the loan system start taking items (repo man!) or automatically taking any money the player earns if they haven't payed the loan back at a certain point.

The problem is people will get there friends on who dont play the server to take out loans and give them the money. That's why we are having this discussion.

Though if we are too ever get classic, I could make this like a VIP / Gold special instead of for all classics =o?

You could have the Bank-NPC, or possibly even a player who works as a banker (although this can lead to serious corruption) prescreen loan candidates, sort of like they do in real banks. If a player is brand new, a trial, or has very little activity on the server they cannot take out a loan, or can only take out a very small loan to start. Maybe that would work?

Court-case Explanation:
I decided that due to the mass-amount of tickets probally going to be given up maybe we can get a group of people who can oversee the court case for each ticket. We may end up giving tickets for speeding etc.. (all court cases will be logged (via chat) so people cant get others out of jail because they are his/her friend. If we see this happen I will ban the person cheating for say a week or so?)

More ideas for the court system needed, maybe even an npc court? Though I would need some major-ideas for this more then a random(0, 1) type of thing.. lol.

I dont remember Graal X doing anything to begin with.. Its way too much like era to ever go classic, or even hosted for that matter. Era will be the only gun server that will be classic for a very, very long time. You cannot have another gun server, no matter how different you try to make it. The only gun servers that are not like Era are Zone, Ol' West and SOG.

Sorry, your wrong.

1) GX doesn't have 40 guns.. we have maybe 5 or 6?
2) GX doesn't have corrupt staff.. and my staff dont even have the ability to do anything but summon and boots anyway =o.
3) GX Quality > Era Quality
4) GX is more based on real life (in which I try my hardest to do), instead of things called "Core Gun" which shoots a blue ugly-bullet-thingy (seriously.. wtf is that thing). We don't give advantages to other people because they are friends with staff. Being my friend means this to me:
5) Read through this thread for tons of information and ideas we have been working on.

Loan Systems, TONS of Car Features, House Renting probally will do Mortgages w/ them too. I also accept all types of ideas etc... Just post them here =)

New Idea for Jobs.. I was thinking about it with a few other staff a couple weeks ago:
A) Some guy (maybe he changes daily or something?) gives you a hitlist in which you need to take out maybe.. 5-10 people who are currently online (so maybe there must be AT LEAST 5-10 people online for it to work?). The job will only able to be done every 3 hours ONCE (not once per person.. but just ONCE). After you kill someone on the list, when you open the list it will show there name with a Strike through it so you know you kill it. When you finish up the list, you go back for a nice and nifty pay due to the job being rare to do I guess. ( at least w/ 50-100 people on )

B) Postman OR Newspaper Boy!
There can be maybe... 10 or so different routes that can be done.. say every 6 hours. You basically goto the post office, and if the route hasnt been taking (it will be drawn randomly between the ones not taken yet) you will recieve a update on the map with a red line outlining your route. After mailing to about 10-20 houses you go back and collect a nifty pay =).

I also accept any jobs as long as there doable on this 2d engine.. and hopefully unique =).

SOG is zone with bad gfx and lack of good scripting to get zones movement system.

Ol'West owned when I worked there its really inactive though.

Zone if its so good why does it normally have 30 players...(Even when it was classic it died)

If Eras so great how come it has around half (sometimes 2/5) of its former playercount? Honestly some server will replace it becuse its current staff team does not know what it wants. The same reason Mal got pretty much replaced by Zodiac. Zodiac doesnt have the scripts of the GFX of Mal but its got a good staff team that knows what it wants and listens to the players (something Era never has done but Chrisz atleast made it fun.)

Zone, should be dead, Era and Graal X is like How Zodiac and Mal is or so from what i seen. Sure Mal and Zodiac are similar but Zodiac is way better and has much more updates, less abuse, and different such. Like I always had to tell people "All RPG's have to be the same in one way or another."
So when People say Graal X is a era, they are only saying that because it has guns. Graal X has tons of jobs to do that is different. Era is SL it should die. Anyhow Graal X has hurricanes which is what i always wanted for zod (Natural Diasters). And I saw a sweet plane on GX. Maybe i can fly it? ;O

Just because you get free stuff doesn't mean it's better than Era. Your perspectives are way off as to how to run a good server.

It's good that there's no corruption (even though with Kuji as manager, I find this unbelievable and still fishy), but everything else is unoriginal. His plane isn't that impressive. He's using a timeout that increases x, y, and z according to a set variable accessed through a console. He's moving it serverside, thus making it jagged and ignoring the default "step, step, step, step" noises you hear when you move any non-character npc serverside. If it was that advanced, he'd use movement serverside with showcharacter() and calculate the average distance it moves each 0.05 seconds to display the actually plane clientside for visual effects.

I used "mode" to classify the "mode" the action is going through. Starting the game, ending the game, removing the weapon, etc...

Simple as that.

I used a level list in an array since I was considering making that mansion that was in SR into part of the event. The level names in it had no specific order or similarity.

1) You are saying you used mode.. right? Why didn't you just do params[0].. or a switch statement.

2) You could have made the level list on the serverside the whoel time.. and just made the level list consist of a levelstarts for each.

3) I doubt you can call the function your currently in (calling itself). You should have made a seperate function for it.

In a more better word, the CarSystem is almost finished. I'll say if its not finished today, it will most likely be finished tomorrow... unless Vista totally hates me more then it currently does =(.

Yeah.. anyway, hopefully I can start the House System and the new GangSystem (through GUI) and have them finished by friday or so. Anyway, off to work =o.
