Is because I'm used to it in writing also.. the word, then the comma attached to it, a space and the next word..

Both styles are bad, does not mean that that one style cancels out how horrible contiga's is.

In English you don't put a space after the parenthesis (and if you do, you put one before the last parenthesis aswell, It's about being symmetrical.)

Like Loriel said, though. The discussion was still related to gscript, it was just more the aesthetical aspect of it.
