Remove a background layer, and just draw on it, then go to "save for web" and save it as a 24BIT PNG. That should work, but so far I've only met a strange problem where it looks like the things I do are glowing.

attach the PSD file and I'll see if it's just you. If you can't attach the PSD format, ZIP it.

Look at my PNG file which I attached, and try that in Graal.

Yea, I've run into this problem too. I talked to Stefan about it once, but as much as I recall he said that Photoshop 7 couldn't do it. We'll have to ask again to be certain.

I don't think we can, as we've already discussed.

Bodies are special and cannot contain alpha transparency (because of the coloring). You might succeed if you use a non-colored body, by renaming it to body100.png or similar.

Elk, you should end the extention of the file with body100 (or any number above 100)

e.g elk-transparentbody101.png

Than it will work ingame (like stefan said)

Then we still have a problem. I made a number of items for a server using PNGs with Alpha layers, and when they were used in the client they were about 50% transparency.

Help?

Mmm.. I had the same problem once when I made an alpha channel shadow under an item. As far as I can recall it was because I exported them in a wrong way. I'm gonne do a test with it now (since I haven't used them except for light/effects within the last few months)

Perhaps we can get in contact later in the day (After I finish work) and we can talk about it. Hopefully we'll be able to come to a solution, and perhaps make a tutorial about it.

I just did it a test with 24bit images exported trough PSP's 8.01's PNG Optimalizer. As far as I can see I still get problems with inlevel graphics that use 24bit alpha occupacies.

There's just a slight hunch telling me that graal might handle them in a wrong way, since I made heads using alpha channels and ingraal the entire image was made translucent (at about a 50 procent occupacy)

But haven't had any problems with effect images that utilized alpha channels. Tested it and atleast one other person with a diffrent kind of graphic card (also up to date) gets the exact same results; so my guess is that graal handle's them in an incorrect way? (24 bit Alpha Channels are reasonably new.. soo)

But need to go now, need to be at work in 15 minutes and i've still got a million things to do.

(See attachments, tried one withouth anti-lias just to be sure) Graal only shows the yellow sun icon with a 50 procent occupacy (same problem as yours)
