This of course prevents most everything you said against it, exept for dropping the blade on the floor, and that dosen't seem like a large problem.

Also I stated my idea because I hoped to take advantage of the increase in activity of Vulcan and Stefan, and I was hoping maybe one of them read it. And the most important thing here which really annoyed me, and has angered me in every single Idea thread there is, people who go stupidly out of topic, like anubis saying some pure **** about event melee weapons, especialy the poison, fire and ice crap, and also completely useless posts like these:
I'm hoping your referring to EVE as your OG Sci-fi tidbit, but let me clarify something for you:

Compressing the metal in any way is going to make it explode easier. When you compress something, you're downsizing it. It's going to want to return to it's orginial shape sooner or later, and when it does, and it's electrified, poom. Humanity will also, never, ever be able to do that. We cant screw around with the molecular structure of things without something giving way in the process.

Also, alternating current through an object actually does more damage than just a singular current on all the time, as you'd weaken parts all over with alternating current while you'd damage the whole thing at once with a constant current.

Now, what I can entirely agree with is the possibility of a dual slotted muramasa, with the D key that charges the next attack for double damage but uses 30 more energy. With strategic placement of this, and stick it in a class with a speed boost, you have alot of options.

Actualy I was reffering to Doom 3, and I gues it's my fault for using the word compress, what i meant was concentrate more of the metal by using the empty spaces in the atoms. I can't really say with accuracy what would happen but I think that having less space between the atoms would increase the power of the bonds, thereby making it harder to break (explode) and harder to conduct electricity, which is why I want it to just show electricity on a slash.

And the problem is, people would never agree to put the Muramasa, especialy not a dual wield Muramasa, on a speed class.

And for Anubis: A fire blade would have to be made out of diamonds.

I could imagine two things for the sword:
- if you have full energy and you use the sword, then it could send a beam thingy, like in Zelda
- if you hit a bike with the sword then the driver loses control over the bike for a few seconds, eventually smashing him against the next wall

If you're gonna have the beam thing happen, then you should make it so you have to have it equipped to D for that to work; otherwise, when I'm trying to slash some guy and I have 100 energy, I dont want to waste who knows how much energy on a beam that won't hit him.

Oh God, more ripping off from Zelda! Haha but anyway, I personaly don't really agree with the beam thing, if you're going to do that then you should give LightInfantry a speed boost and take away most of their good guns, just my opinion anyway.. Also what Stefan meant by shooting the beam; He didin't mean that it would take all your energy, he meant that when you have 100 energy and slash, you'll attack like normal but you'll also shoot a beam, consuming the normal energy cost.

I'm beginning to like this idea.

Lightinfantry with a speed boost would rock.
And instead of the beam, possibly lightning shoots out to the nearest enemy near you, doing a nevermiss hit for say, 10 or 5 damage?
And if you swipe an enemy at 80+ energy, you'll do 5 extra damage which jumps for up to 2 enemies within 10 tiles of that?

Make this dual wieldable. D could be a block, which consumes 1 energy a second, and every bullet you block takes away dmg/1.5 energy. Then this'd be a damn good weapon.

A little too good. 1 energy takes around 0.0001 seconds to replenish itself.

Energy regeneration would stop while blocking, huwasux.

For all of 7 seconds with appierces, then they'd have no energy left to fight with, or to run with. And with chaingun, god knows, about a second maybe?

A fraction of that if they lag before you start getting hit.

But I suppose the block thing is good, but why not just call it ''Kewl Star Wars blocker thinger"? I know you probably weren't thinking of that, but come on :[

I was thinking it'd be more of a reflex thing, like you see some stray bullets coming at you and you cant dodge them fast enough, so you quickly tap D then dodge up and slash them to death. That extra 15-20 health helps you know.

Use the force, Raeiphon. Not reflexes.

And Muramasa's only advantage is that it comes with a faster class.
So this would be a good thing for it.

Sapper is the same speed as heavy infantry...

(I would know, I use crossbow with sapper all the time.)

And, I even just degraded myself by testing the speed in game.

Bullcrap. Sapper is a little slower than marine and grenadier. Heavy Infantry is REALLLY slow and defender is a little faster than Heavy but slower than sapper.

Ok *******, there's a difference in the speed of ALL classes. And for the record, commando is fastest, I would show you but I lag so you would be faster whichever class you pick.

I am 100% sure there are more than 3 class speeds. If I'm not mistaken, there's more than 5 also. If you really believe that grenadier is the same speed as Heavy Infantry... Just maybe, with a little magic... No, you're wrong anyway.
