Timestamps & PM Copying

So
  1. Time Stamps
    1. add TimeStamps to RC Chat
      Bad:
      NPC Code:
      blah: hi

      Good:
      NPC Code:
      [01:27:10]blah: hi

    2. add a Clock somewhere on the RC
    3. add Time Stamps to PM Windows
      Bad:
      NPC Code:
      Mass Message:
      hi, wheres the hospital?

      Good:
      NPC Code:

      [01:27:10] Mass Message:
      hi, wheres the hospital?

  2. Copying PM Text
  1. I often have to use the History instead of the PM Window to copy text of PM's. And even then i have to hit Ctrl+C like 5 times to get text copied...
  2. When i copy PM Text into RC it says something like 'Illegal Character detected in outgoing data.'
Thats the same for copying scripts into RC

I'm sorry, what?

Edit:

I believe I have translated it.

PROJECTGI's IDEA LIST:
1) Add timestamps to the RC chat, and a clock on the GUI.

2) Add timestamps to the PM delivery system, so you can see when you click when it was sent rather then checking history to see.

3) Fix the glitch where copying PMs into RC detects it as illegal data (?)

4) Make a "dump to clipboard" button which puts all the received text on the clipboard. (?)

Yea, I've been pushing for a timestamp in RC messages for a while. Personally, I like like to see it like this

[01:27:10]*Stefan: Bjorn, you're fired!
Also, perhaps have a feature so you can toggle it on and off (visually). I know I don't look at the RC all of the time, and when I come back I would like to see what time certain messages were said at.

Well, refining my question: is the clock in the default state.png built into the client somehow or just there if scripters want to use it? In that case, if a server wanted new icons added to the state, would Stefan add them to a new version?

The question isn't relevant to the matter at hand, only related.

Timestamps -> Time -> Question I've been asking myself for a while.

*bump*

I decided to bump this instead of making a new thread.

So yeah, a timestamp would be really helpful. Sometimes, you come back to RC after being gone for awhile, and someone had said something, but you had no idea when they said it.

Timestamp would be really helpful.

It's a relic from G2K1 - there isn't a Showstate 4098 or anything, it has to be scripted. Not sure why it got into state.png, except Stefan scripted the first clock and probably wanted to be consistent - numbers and icon in the same file.
