Progress, stop bugging me on aim!

Alright, yeah I've made some progress on Sanstrata, please stop bugging me on aim unless you really want to help me and really can, alright? Honestly, it is annoying as ****.

Heres another building and a work in progress version of the new body, the proportions are going to stay the same, just I'm going to add more detail over this. The animation looks better slowed down just letting you know.

The building is beautifully detailed, but you already got my ratin on aim (I hope iam not in your list of buggers).

I think if you can do buildings like that, the rest will be no problem.

That's really nice dude, the walking animations are really well done, the feet could be improved a bit, but apart from that it's good, good muscular movement.

The stone thing, is just beautiful, and would be fun creating buildings with the tiles, if you can make them into tiles, although i think that may be hard.

But i do wish you the best of luck

I'm pretty sure he'll use a gani to set them as objects on a gmap - but that's just my guess.

I really don't have a lot of free time, and I'm usually very busy. Once I get some more time I'll have a lot more work done.

David, that is extremly hot. I wonder if you should be making your game on graal >.>.... you could make probely make a fair ammount of money and success by "doing it elsewhere ?"...

Anyhow, even if this will take you 1 or 2 years it will be worth it. Also after looking at the "body".. have you looked into doing it in polynomes or isn't that your style?

It's nicely detailed and whatnot, however I dunno if anyone else can see this, but the roof seems to be doing one of those weird optical illusion type things where occasionally it looks like it's coming out at me like a roof should, while if I focus elsewhere on the roof, it looks like it's a room on top of the building, with three walls and a floor.

I noticed it, but when it's used in game I doubt many people will see that.

I am seeing that whole 3d eye trick on the top that Butz mentioned but I agree with ZH that I doubt that would be a factor in-game. Really nice work Donald, that detailing looks like it was exhausting, I applaud your patience for sure.

Thank you, and yeah I didn't put in every detail, I did do alot of work though, and I did a lot of the shading and in some places I did use some textures which were transparent over my own detailing and what not. Its not like I let textures do all of the work for me, because if I did it wouldn't have turned out as it did.

Nah, it took a lot more time than that, and I didn't just use the dodge and burn tool, I painted in a lot of the lighting and details, this wasn't easy to do at all.

In Donald's case, I would have to disagree with you. He's making graphics for server, so really.... he wants to be able to spit out decent looking graphics relatively quickly.

If they were just pesonal pieces I might agree.

I like it, but one thing that bugs me is that the stairs down end so abruptly in darkness. You might want to put some very vague stairsteps in the center there.

I think you make overdone gfx to the point where they just look like charcoal with special lighting comming from all directions. Maybe you should try a cleaner style once in awile.

i dont get it...why are the two images two completely different styles? i mean don't you want to match the bodies with the rest of the server? not to bash donald...but he told me on aim something along the lines of...
why do you care about konidias? konidias' sucks, im godly to everyone. i had to laugh on my insides...

Many people keep telling me that Konidias is a great artist. I really haven't seen much of his work outside of Oasis screenshots. The Oasis screenshots are great, but I dunno I'm not that impressed with them now. Maybe I just have less appreciation for pixel art because I don't like it that much I don't know. I keep hearing Konidias is a great artist from many people but, I really haven't seen his work.

i appreciate pixel art so much more than photoshopped stuff alot of times. pixeling like koni, scott, and zen sometimes do takes a lot of time and talent. maybe you're not impressed with koni's oasis work because you don't appreciate classic graal x.x-oasis was still supposed to have that graal feel but just be so much more wide open.
