Levelgen variety

How about an upgrade to the level generator:
-snow ground, snow trees, snow mountains, and lava of the same
-varying degrees of cliff heights, cliffs that you cannot jump down from with the darker tiles at the top for mountains and going down to water
-coastline beach tiles between grass and water as an option, to merge with mountain tiles
-path/house placements (to form an outline)
-option to have or not have shadows around the mountain edge tiles over land

and a random thought for gmaps : east and west edge wrapping such that the world would be a vertical cylinder.

The level gen is mostly meant for making an outline... You should do all of those things you've mentioned by hand.

... and the above suggested improvments would make for a more detailed outline, better quality levels, and save even more time in the overall world creation process.
