Freezes

I don't know if it's a bug but, whenever I click on V4 it freezes my comp and I have to restart it. I tried re-installing. Still doesn't work.

Probably not, this is an old 1999 computer. I'm getting a new one soon. I'll try again then.

Try to install the latest gfx driver http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=61703,
or try to switch the screen/background to 16 bit mode, that often fixes problems. I am writing from and 7 years old computer right now, most of the time its not the hardware, its often the driver.

A lot of people have those built-in Intel chips. First switch to 16 bit, otherwise some stuff will not work at all. Then select 82810 graphic driver, should be at this page: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...D=798&lang=eng

I downloaded Graphics Driver - Zip Format [WIN9X67.ZIP] and all it does is make Graal pop up.

Then I downloaded Graphics Driver [WIN9XE67.EXE, WIN9XM67.EXE] and it was going all great until this poped up: Error number 0x80070725 Description:Incompatible version of the RPC stub.

Weird, RPC is some Windows NT/2000/XP stuff
You get that error from Windows or when running Graal ? You can at least see the starting window now ?
Hmmm Try this:

I saved it on my computer like it asked, then downloaded it, and that exact window poped up.

So you don't get that error anymore?
Do you see the starting window of Graal, or where does it freeze exactly?
Can you close the Graal window or does it freeze the computer?

It freezes the computer when you click on it, and sometimes it says cannot find graal4.exe (which is a good thing, because it doesn't freeze when this happens, however it does not start either) however, my gfx drivers are not yet up to date, and so i've decided to wait till i update them. No window comes up.

I noticed with the Intel(R) 82810E Graphic Controllers, the setup doesn't update the drivers. Un-install the current drivers then install the drivers that Stefan linked in the previous post of this thread. Then follow his instructions once again.

updated my gfx driver, but i still cannot start it. Either freezes, or a blue box with illegible text comes up, and when you hit the button, it doesn't start, saying that graal4.exe cannot be found X_X

excaliber: You tried to install Graal v4? You could also put it in the Graal v2 folder and rename to graal4.exe and see if its working then. Also make sure you have switched to 16 bit mode.

Yes me too
May be we should open separate threads for everyone who has such problems, because each one has different problems.
MrsMastermind:
- Get the good driver
- Uninstall the old driver
- Install the new driver
- Switch to 16 bit
- Download the latest Graal version (4.0303)
- Start it
- Report here what happens
