It should be more like "This thread is closed for breaking rule X" instead of "No" , "Gah, stop arguing" or "I disagree, closed".

True. They should clearly display the rule. In fact, it would be nice if they put like a quote of the rule that was broken. This could be an example post:

This thread is closed due to a clear violation of the forum rules.

Rule(s) Broken:

Users are forbidden from posting racist or homophobic messages on the boards. This includes using terms referring to any group as if they were derogatory labels (for example, referring to something as '***' to express the opinion that it is bad). Again, you are not permitted to use alternate spellings in order to post such words.
