King of the Hill Returns

The King of the Hill map has returned with a few improvements. The purpose of this map is to keep control of the hill for four minutes. The hill is located in the center of the map. Some improvements to the map are that Event Masters can control how many teams can fight for the hill per round and there is also a new system to allow for guilds to fight over the hill with other guilds under the supervision of an events master.

I have a great sudgestion providing Stefan still has the original king of the hill. For those who have been playing long enough on Zone (about 10 months or more), the original king of the hill should be released aswell. The players can choose which they prefer and the better one will be added. For those who don't know it, it was much better. Their were strategic bases and many different ways to get to the hill. And if I'm correct I think the hill changed and wasn't in just one spot. In my eyes that one was the best but like I said, let the player decide.

Its brilliant. Most fun i've ever had on a map - not to mention that its strafer friendly. I also topped my first 400+ bounty on this map, so i'm happy.

But is the music sorted out? I'm listening to a piece now from the pirates of the caribbean soundtrack and it really suits the map well

The original KOTH map looked better (had some buildings and such), but it was not fun to play, not a lot of room for sparring, also with the massive amount of players and jetpacks you often block each other or get shot easily.

They are identical. Besides the turrets and a few buildings taken out. Old Koth was exactly the same amount of fun. It is just people never went on it.

In my eyes, If I ever saw a KOTH game with 50-50 each side, i'd scream with glee and spend hours and sleep on zone. I ADORE large scale PvP, i'm a warsong gulch junkie on WoW, its probably that =/

By the way, you need to add turrets to other maps too, and possibly some on the hill? I know the darkside could use some turrets, b1 on iricia with turrets would own.

I'm yet to check out the new WC, might try it soon.

The original one was MUCH better in my oppinion but I guess Stefan agree's otherwise. It had numerous bases, teleporters (regardless if you held the hill or not) and yeah, much different.

It really depends on which KOTH you are talking about, because I'm sure you recall that KOTH was revamped before. The version previous to this new version was definitely not the original.

I still think KOTH is fine the way it is. Two teams, nice big map, although there's a severe problem with mortar laming - but hey, nothing a good charge shot to the arse doesnt fix

alot of noobs lame with mortars...it is a cheap way of killing (they go up against a crate, and blew everyone around them up) but it hasn't been fixed...i've brought this up in one of my threads b4...

and yes I did meen the version from a LONG time ago. The only players that will probably know which I speak of are Dozer, Rykuz, Kds, and of course Stefan himself.

Considering Rykuz is old, he has no skill =/ He tried mortar laming him, I pwned his ass with bluerifle, then he starts whining about me hacking :O

Nah I don't diss people unless I don't like them OR unless they diss my buddies (Rykuz being one of them). And Rykuz does has skill, he just doesn't come online as much as us all. For the amount he comes on hes amazing.

Yah, right. I hit (and killed him) around three times today, all of them using redrifle charge shot. A blind man can dodge that shot, unless you walk into it.

No reason? He sucks. Why? He lames people while they spar, and in my eyes he's just a general idiot.

Have you ever been lamed while you spar? It sucks even more when the person you're sparring continues to spar you even when the other guy is still firing.

And I dont find myself superior to others because I play video games - he, by all means probably has more skill than me in this, but it does not make him superior to me, or I to him.
