So if graal 2001 comes back and say the story changes would it in any way effect the way 2002 is? like for instence say the samuri were all destroyed would it carry over to 2k2? or like are they just diffrent

The map I provided below is an IC (in character) map of Samurai and Melhk (Astri) maps combined.

The two left islands are the playable areas. The right landmasses are purely fictional and made up for the sake of extra background storylines.

The bottom archipelago is what you know as Graal 2002 or Graal Kingdoms. The top left land mass is Graal 2001 or Graal Bomy Moon.

That map is a political map of the world about 150 years ago. It's before Ackbar occured and before the Zormite conquests of most of the area. It's when the other nations found the new land (2k2) and started to colonize it.

The storyline as of now states that all of the nations on 2k1 (excluding Zormite) were destroyed. Before this time many left for the new world because a meteorite was planned to hit the lands. So they just reestablished their old nations there (excluding Zormite). So the survivors of the old lands grouped together (excluding Zormites XD) and started to rebuild. So the majority of kingdoms are a mixture of different types of people. Some might find Bellasera as a merge of Dustari and the Pirates.

For the most part, all the kingdoms are seperated by the great sea that seperates the two lands. The only kingdom that coexists in both is the Zormite Empire.

Also the storyline of 2k2 has already adapted to the storyline of 2k1. The creation of the Zormite Republic was due to a communications barrier between the colony and the Empire.

Er, it's been stated by Stefan that 2K2 is 2K1 several years in the future, and you can clearly see the similarities between the Main Island map and the 2K1 map. Including town names and relative locations.

Well, I was given the job of writing the 2k2 storyline that would allow 2k2 to be connected to 2k1 in some way. I did the best I could, which I don't think was too bad given I only had so much to work with. But yeah, 2k2 is supposed to be 2k1 in the future. It's supposed to be after the bomy moon crashed and after the evil bomies invaded the mainland. All the graalians left the main island because it was being taken over by the evil bomies and the evil bomies were enslaving other animals and things to expand their "army". (which is why the shrooms and rabbits attack you and whatnot) So the people fled on ships to find new land and they formed new kingdoms there so that they could one day fight the evil bomies and take back their land.

But anyway... my 2k1 revision will not follow the storyline. It's sort of like between 2k1 and 2k2 time periods. The bomy moon crashed but instead, the graalians overcame the evil bomies, and the bomy moon almost completely submerged underwater. I won't go into any more details because I don't want to ruin the story.

edit: and to answer the main question... no I don't think any changes to 2k1 would effect 2k2 now.

Even if 2k2 were to be the future of 2k1 then everything would've been completely contradicting for the past five years. Not to mention 2k2 would have Bellasera, Zormite, and Malenth right now instead of the original kingdoms.

Not to mention it doesn't make any sense seeing how these super power kingdoms had to leave but the city states could remain.

Also the technology levels dropped instead of rose.

It's the commonly accepted story that 2k2 is a new land of 2k1, as in they're in the same world. I didn't make this story - instead the five years of gameplay have.

Storylines don't really do anything anyway. They basically never change. Storylines are meant to be played through once, whereas Graal continues to be played through (therefore, even though storylines are possible, nobody pays them much heed). 99% of what you do on Graal in general isn't storyline related.

Actually the storylines establish everything without you knowing it.

Bellasera and Malenth didn't even exist until the new 2K1 wrote them in. The new 2K1 servers should either...

1. Exist in a time before that of the original 2K1. Which would be difficult considering the presence of things like the Bomy Moon.

2. Exist in an alternate timeline.

Yeah, it doesn't. It would probably better to say that the kingdoms just expanded to outward islands. Though I really think it would be better if the castles were moved to the main island, and the outer islands were just considered property of each kingdom, used for houses, etc.

Only if you take into account Zalactic technology, which seems to no longer exist on 2K2 save for the the non-functional clothes changer (Artifact). But non-Zalactic technology has improved. There is widespread use of coal, non-Zalactic uses of gunpowder (though this may have appeared close to the end of 2K1 in the form of fireworks, etc.), magic has advanced considerably, etc.

No not "five years of gameplay". This was just something made up by you or Gryffin or some other high-level RPer. I don't even remember hearing about it prior to Bel'la Olplyn appearing on 2K2.

Bomy Island is sort of a spinoff of 2k1 after the bomy moon crashed. It takes place quite a while after the bomy moon crashing actually. Because the bomy moon has almost entirely submerged under water, the evil bomies were defeated, and things got back to normal. It's just a variation of the storyline I wrote for GK.

Actually, I think I wrote in the storyline that the kingdoms moved to different islands so that they could build up their armies there and not be under constant attack, and the towns on the main island try to remain so that they can assist the kingdoms when they arrive and whatnot. It doesn't make sense entirely, but it's better than nothing. I didn't have much to work with.
