Lightbulb Babylon Classic tab? Players Return?

Ok people it seems as if the 1 certain global and the Managers on Babylon dont want it to go classic. (Managers dont even want to do anything with it. Yet wont let anyone else own it)

So Ima ask this question for the actual players and not the staff or globals or anyone of that sort. Just simply the players. Who would come back to babylon?
Seriously dont say anything negative but Im serious who would come back? Ive gotten pms all this week everytime I log on Pulse from people asking if it was gonna come back. So I just would like to know. Personally I already know 3 or 4 servers it would beat out ez.

I wouldn't play it. Mainly because I never did, and I'm already too busy.

I'm sure Babylon would get a good ammount of players. I don't understand why they won't go classic again.

I would play babylon if it came back on the classic tap. I still play it a little bit now.

It would probably do good for a couple of days, like most new servers that come back to the classic tab, then just die off. No one wants to switch to another server.

Let it rest in peace. Its time has come and gone so let it go. Take off the life support and move it elsewhere.

Babylon was nothing in my oppinion, people who played it were there simply for the community.

And if it came back, it wouldn't be the same community...resulting in a failure.

See what Babylon is suppose to have when it returns is everything that made it survive in the past that half of you noobies wish you were there for. That and itll add on to what it had in the past. As far as the same community. Yea duh its gonna have to same community except along with that more players will come. Considering with the fall of servers like Delteria and Shaded Legend. There are quite of loss players.

Babylon only went down in the first place to solve problems that it couldnt handle on the list. I meen if we had of stayed and not taken the time it would have been worse. But now its almost restored and ready. Sadly in need of same less lazy staff and better Management.

o and to Emeric. No one wants to switch to a new server? Lol Look at graal, actually look at npulse. Do you really think half those people arnt from another server lol.

People will go to Babylon to check it out. 2 days later Babylon's playercount is maybe 30. End of story.

I think it's an old overworld, I haven't looked at it in a while. o-o
The main levels that people hang out in are the same, anyway.

And yeah, Babylon didn't have much content.. It was just a community.
And the list of NPCs is even barer than before.

The current Babylon you have online isn't something special to be proud of. Of course, you can be proud of the playerworld since you developed for it.

Though, what are your plans for Babylon? Do you have plans to successfully make the players of Babylon enjoy the playerworld and have fun?

You are trying to bring back an old version of Babylon...one that went away when the community went away.

That's your problem. You have a new team of Babylon developers. Make a new playerworld, keep some old Babylon things, those, you still need to make sure you have a new age Graal theme to keep players interested into a classic styled playerworld.

I am not proud of Babylon considering that i played it back when Chrisz me and Alexander work together on Babylon. I think personally that Alexander has to actually care about Babylon again. I was talking to him a while back and he said after he got back from failing grades he forgot a lot of scripting. I think that you should bring back old babylon and just tweak it a little bit so that it is up to todays standards. Also you need more die-heart staff. Babylon was really cool 4 years ago when I was a Oldbie (which is hard to believe) and like there was nothing but Oldbies and everybody was cool and no one called eachother Noobs. I think if you were to add quest. Also i like when you have that little RPG section.(where you have to enter through the tree door.)Oh and i really like that watergun thing that you guys had for a while. Well this is all i have to say i hope you take some of this advice, information and use it <=D

Even if that is lost in the fact that even though you "developed" for it, nothing much was accomplished.

Easy Enough, but not everyone who could say "I can do it" have something the size of babylon to work with.

I have quite a few ideas myself that will catch the eyes of the players of Babylon. Yes it is a old OW but you do not seem to understand exactly why we brought it back. Personally you dont not understand anything that is going on considering you are not here to help us Develop it. The only problem stopping us from finishing plans is the Lack of people who can script. Our Lazy staff and the people like James quitting on us. Im not proud of what I developed at all while I work on the server. The only reason I even feel a need to work there is because
the staff from the past are either quitting or not helping.

o and about Alexander. Your right he needs to start caring for Babylon sooner or later. We will come to the point where we try to remove him or we ignore the fact that he still exist even more than we do today. Management is a key part of a server and can easily bring it down.

Good NATs are hard to find. However, there's no list of NPCs you'd like scripted or any assignments. I'd gladly help out with scripting in my spare time.

Babylon stopped using the new engine. There was too much to convert, their NPC Server is a piece of crap, and none of the staff (Except Silent and calani) knew how to use it. On top of that, some level scripts would cause the NPC Server to crash, though I don't understand how enabling the new engine could cause that.

Well, management should change. Inferno should be made manager of Babylon; throughout Babylon being under construction he's the only one who did work.

Kish, Silent and Alexander

This bit down here are for the posts Velox and Crono made:

Quote:
A good Manager sees as to things get done. Not do them himself. According to this, Inferno worked under Kish' management, thus, Kish did a good job in getting Inferno.
Inferno did what he wanted, which wasn't a bad thing. Kisharha did nothing but promote a GP to an adminstrator.

Quote:
Silent was a decent manager, alex is hardly on I think and Kish doesn't do anything...
Silent didn't do work unless he was told to do work. Even when he got told to do work he didn't do the majority of it.

Alex is never on, I'm surprised you hadn't removed him when you removed Malinko.

Quote:
Inf should be manager and silent should be co-manager.
I agree, Inferno should be manager. As for Silent being Co-Manager? he sucked being a manager you or someone who deserves to be a manager should get the position.

Managers are there to MANAGE, not to develope. It isn't their duty.

Each person in a team should assume their position to what they do. If they like directing ideas, organizing everything, then Manager is alright. If they don't like interacting with anyone, but like developing, then a Developer is great. They don't have to mess with people to hire, or who does what.

And if they suck at what they do, or can not fufill their duty, they need to step down or be removed, so that someone else can give it a go (How about Era just awhile ago?)

Incase you are not fully aware a manager should have a very active role on a server, just not "Hey do this, and make sure its done when i come back in two weeks, or else its your job, not mine"

Sometimes thats how life is? Sometimes things arent fair? Well when someone dosent step up and take their peice of the reponsibility then they lose valuable assets.

Maybe you do not understand the grounds behind why I decided to quit but it was not because "zomgwtf bab r sux" or anything like that.
