It has nothing to do with the games at all, except that it's directed by the creator of Final Fantasy and that it shares the name with the game series. I too would have much rather seen a movie based on one of the early FFs, like 5 or 6, rather than a futuristic film like the one they've made. If they were going for a futuristic movie, I would probably enjoy a movie version of FF7 or FF8 much more.

i would enjoy a Perfect Dark movie.....

The license and rights stuff have for a Perfect Dark movie have been sold....I just hope the movie sticks to what Rare did with their game
