Great idea for a server.

Was thinking about some stuff. I came up with a pretty cool idea for a graal server and turns out i have my own graal server extra, so if any dev team wants to do this contact me.

Basically like an 8bit game, like everything has the old gameboy games and nintendo games graphics and music style, similar to old final fantasy i suppose, or rpg maker.

It'd be original for graal, and maybe make classic list if it was good enough, you could have like each have your own party and go around the world, and maybe fight eachother and stuff learn moves to fight with in the turn base combat screen, I prefer recharge bar though, as in you attack and soon as recharge bar is full you can attack again.

flame me or whatever. I dont care.

Great idea... will it be an isometric view like Graal is or a Mario-type view?

Anyways, everyone has ideas. Very few want to pick up the rod of whoop ass and attempt them.

Yea, but you can script an iso movement system, and im saying ill let people use the server I payed for to make something like this..... If they can do the work, maybe a project for when atrius is done or somethin since everyone hates us for making a modern server better than era.

its a style. it represents the games I played back in the day... as well of some others on this forum. Sometimes games with lesser graphics are better, 8bit games can look very good...

Gman -- Who'd want to work for you? Hell -- I wouldn't even want you working for me, much less me working for you. You're an immature, corrupt, and rather egocentric person. You steal, you hack, and you harass until you get things your way. When you have a problem, you do no research, and you invest the forums with every petiful attempt you could. You're banned on serveral servers, which I believe comprise of 5 classic servers.

Seriously now, Gman... If you intend on doing a project of such, don't you think you could pay respect to other people whom worked on Graal? Don't you think you should stop attempting to hack on every server that gives that possibility? Just because there is a flaw doesn't mean you can exploit it... Just because it doesn't go your way doesn't mean you have to complain and harass about it... Just because you can't do better doesn't mean you have to steal other people's work... Just because we try so hard to create doesn't mean you have to destroy it by any means possible.

Velox, the glitch abuse is so I can be better than anyone else, besides I rarely get away with it and it helps tighten up security on the server... if they catch me ;o

I may have been corrupt and immature 2-3 years ago but that has changed, in fact, you never knew me when I was corrupt and immature. You can ask madj about that he knows, but not you. I may steal items ingame but I do not steal gfx, scripts, or levels or anything of that nature. The part where you acuse me of stealing others work is laughable, when in fact many servers are using stolen scripts that I made. When **** doesn't go my way I express my opinion. please never post in my threads again, you dont know me, dont act like you know me. You would have lost your position as manager on era if you had stayed, everyone knew you were corrupt so you left before stefan had to step in. That was probably the best decision of your life, and of course the worst was being born.

By the way, my name is scott, please do not call me gman on these forums.

But what does changing the style to an inferior one achieve? An 8 bit game may look decent for what it is, but a 16 bit one will probably look better.

My account got hacked and it was banned from maloria... By the way, how is it without Laslow and Madj? must be hard without a good graphics artist to make a server... And im pretty sure he's french canadian, he's from quebec. Which would explain why he's an ******* and prove that he is inferior. I think im getting myself banned again from these forums x.x

Players have constantly asked me to either work for their server, come back as staff on Era (and as Manager, to that as well). I had resigned for personal reasons...

As for my being a French Canadian... *shakes head*... VERY mature, sir... I didn't know that you evaluate a person's capacity to manage a server simply due to his nationality and primary lanuage.

Yes, Gman... I am Canadian, and I'm proud of being Canadian.

Other stuff:
If your account (not hacked) was stolen due to downloading trainers that stole passwords, it is solely your fault. You were partaking in illegal activities, and was overthrown.

I thank you for providing the adequate information required for other players to judge the authencity of my claims.

That's like trying to sell on an old Atari system in GAME for the same amount of money as a PS2 or an XBox. This would never work. Times have changed Gman, heck, even Gameboys have a ditched them old school graphics.

Also, your comment on the french and canadians. Without the french, you'd have no skills whatsoever, and without Canadians, the community would be less multi-national, which is bad.

It doesnt make the game, but it sure feels good on your eyes. Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory has the best graphics I've ever seen and its a really good game to boot.

I know, but an 8Bit system would have to properly created an 8Bit system. You'd be very limited, as alot 8Bit games scrolled tile by tile, instead of pixel scrolling. It would be very ugly, and I don't play ugly games :P

How would it be copyright infringement? You're saying that all Gameboy games ever made were infringing a copyright? I think not. What he was saying is to put a limit on the graphic and sound colours, like bleeps, and that. Something that a newbie would make on 3x Osc.

shootoo thought gman was saying that he would use the actual NES graphics from those games.

but ive seen gman work in or on i think 4 different playerworlds in the last few months. I don't think it will be easy to convince anyone to work with you in a community that is already short on developers.
