Needs a lot more style, and you should start on things that aren't already made, and that you're just editting. That lowers peoples intrest if they've seen it before.

Did you puke in the background? Sorry, but it doesnt seem very appealing, start mixing shaded of that color

Don't take it too hard, bit I suggest if you are new to graphics, load mspaint or photoshop, or whatever you've got. (I recomend mspaint if you're entirely new though.) open up a blank canvas, and just pick something out of the air, say.. a couch or a lamp or something, then try to make it from scratch. Practice blending the colors, and working from different zoom distances.
