Maloria really has delt a major blow to the biggest server in graal, GK has such a low playercount lately it's a surprize to see less that 50 folks on during a NON school day!

I'm told a few got out due to snow.

So? GK isnt that big and great, unholy nation, era, and hell even valikorlia used to be bigger than GK. Then both servers screwed themselves and UN is the only one beating GK.

Maloria in itself isnt that great. I miss the old Maloria from back in 2002.

Kingdoms will die. Its system was changed too much, too many things were nerfed, too many pointless items were added just so people could "be cool", the kingdom leadership is pitiful, and no one really cares, not even cyberjourers. Why should we care? Just play maloria, it rocks and is getting better every day, and you dont need to keep renewing your gold subscription to play it.

That's exactly what was said about 2k1 vs 2k2 -_-... trust me. Graal 2002 will fall and G3D will rule over it.

I personally am not a fan of G3D. There's a LOT of improvements to be made on it, and it's gonna take a long time to make them. Plus, changes to the server later on will probably be a whole lot harder to make, and I can forsee a whole lot more complaining in the future about glitches the size of God popping up.

Maloria is not all that great, I found a few bugs the first two minutes I logged on.
It lags occasionally and gets boring pretty fast.
Not many places to go, repetetive killing/stat gaining etc.

What games miss today are innovative battles, you know, things you can really get into, without using the same tactic to kill it.
(By same tactic, I mean, finding a way to avoid it and do damage to it at the same time, like on Maloria, as it comes at you, slash right as it gets about 2 tiles away, the lag causes it to take damage)

Now I would definately pay money for a server that has a nice baddy system, maybe make about 5 types of battle AI and apply them randomly to NPCs (every spawn or so)

Maybe boss battles? Not about 30 monsters put into a room (GK)

the reason why the G3D you play is crap is because it is a test.makes you wonder though... and mido has good point but, we have to look at the facts. who would be willing to all this time creating that stuff. big gaming companies have people going crazy with stress, and they get paid.

If they would just reset GK and put in randomized dungeons/better monsters/capped levels/monster drops that actually mean something, then GK would not be so likely to die. Make undead knights, necromancers, that kind of stuff. Make one in 10,000 drop a special piece of armor or spell. Make them hard-as-crap to kill. Also, don't make the items broken. Don't put bullcrap stats on them like +5 speed and all that on them.
Also, make the weight system suck less. It completely screws over newbies who don't have a house to hold stuff in. Do an overhaul on all of the stats, in fact. Make stat points distributable. Change the battle system so that you can get into and out of it on the mainland, not just if you are in a kingdom.
Also, have special places for each class where you can buy spells and/or skills for less price if you are of that particular class. Don't let barbarians learn stuff like summon avatar. Make it so that people who do not belong to a given class do not learn the best spells/skills that class has to offer. It pretty much eliminates any use of having seperate classes. I would, at most, allow warriors to learn some level 1-4 spells, but I would either let them be priest spells or wizard spells. They couldn't have both. Thieves would get black magic. Barbarians wouldn't get any. Alchemists could get both types up to level 6 or so maybe.

I've got tons of other things that would help GK, but I won't bother wasting them since I doubt any would actually be heeded.

Thats what i mean... GK is a unbalanced game... and its not fun for newcomers, making event items and such stuff only get people to scam over to get a item

, if GK wanted to get alive agen... well they would have to close it up atleast for some months to redo everything lol...

GK is made by stefan while Maloria is made by an unpaid player, I would have to tell you to think before you post zero, even though that server is owned by cyberjoueurs someone still made a simple server with everything folks want, i find that pretty amazing since that is the only other server with an actual level system, Everyone else is working on good graphics lately but just don't have the largest list of ideas for their server.

Maloria seems to have updates every week or so, and that's a good thing, or else it gets terribly boring not having anything NEW and FAIR. (key words there, they work best together)

Anyways i gave all my items to Mike_Zakuto and will just wait for something to happen, until then GK is not worth going to.

There are 50 players on GK today, and 50 on Maloria.
Tomorrow there is 25 on GK and 75 on Maloria.
The day after there is 15 on GK and 85 on Maloria.

Stefan is not losing profits. Graal survives. There is no battle.

Graal Kingdoms never really had a chance agaisnt the #1 or #2 classic server, there are more players with classic lifetime than with gold account. Yesterday there were 50+ players online. We are working on the new mudlib which will bring a lot of new stuff into the game, and fix some old bugs then.
Zurkiba, stop your annoying demotivation. If you are doing a server then you need to plan in long term. Graal Kingdoms will be improved as well as Zone.
