Graal 3D Preview Released!

Yes that's right, Graal enters a third dimension and has opened up a preview server to show examples of what's to come!

Currently there is a small snowy world, with a few monsters to kill, and a Skiing game. Try your skill and see if you can beat the current skiing champion -Ramirez-, with a time set at 28.671 seconds!

Try exploring the whole world, you may find some extra little things that the other players haven't found yet.


You will need either a GOLD or VIP account to play on the server, and if you are a CLASSIC account, then you can get one months XMAS VIP for just $2, via SMS (Cell phone text message)!

And don’t forget our new [Payment Options], which will allow you to upgrade to GOLD/VIP with a wide range of new payment options.

INSTRUCTIONS
How to get onto Graal3D:
1: Make sure you have got a GOLD or VIP subscription
2: Go to the [Downloads Page] and download the top setup.exe!
3: Run the setup.exe
4: Pick where you would like to install Graal/Graal3D (If you already have Graal then pick the folder which already has your Graal.exe in it)
5: When you get to the setup selection screen, go down to ‘Graal 3d’ and click both of the ‘Keep’ words, so that a version number shows (3.1.0-0)
6: Click next to start the install
7: Go to your Graal folder, and open Graal3.exe > Connect to Graal3D!

Q: What is XMAS VIP
A: XMAS VIP is a special Christmas offer of one months VIP for only $2, ideal for Classic accounts who want full access over the Holidays. You can upgrade to this by following a link to a survey in the Graal Newsletter, and then following the instructions given to you!

Q: How big is the Graal3D setup?
A: Around 30Mb

Q: How long will the Graal3D server be online?

It's too limiting how you can only shoot the snowballs a certain distance.

the chat is a normal Bug.. you have to reconnect.. sometimes you cant use weapons too

Well, both test this currently.
When the final G3D servers, whatever they will be, are ready VIP will test those first, like 30 tested part of it last time only.

If it works out maybe you should allow 1-month subscriptions by SMS throughout the whole year, it might be more efficient for some..

(Though admittedly now you can use splashplastic to pay i'm sorted, if i actually wanted to pay the special deal higher prices for xmas )

It's cheaper, still, at one month for $2 (I think that's the US one, the price of VIP isn't $19 anymore, it's a little higher now. But for paying in your own currency, GBP, compared to USD then yeah it would be quite a bit more due to exchange rates. But the offer, although cheaper I think is designed to be easier to upgrade to as well, so that's why it's more useful)

1. Is your graphics card any good?
2. Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?
3. Try turning down the sliders in the options for controlling visiblity and what not.
4. Make sure you're not running anything else which may effect performance like mp3s or whatnot. I even notice a change in frame rate when i have the main Graal page open because of their flash banner.

Is it just me or Am i the only one who can't hear any sound. Everytime I use the Graal 3 client no matter what server im in i cannot hear any sound. I downloaded the Music parts too that said Zone and Graal 2002

You have to be in the town to hear any real music. For the rest of the sounds, i found that they were quiet and needed to turn my speakers up a bit.

Graal3d is officially ruined. It looked like it was getting better but NO. I log on and it lags more than before. Unreal Tournament runs better on this computer. So I use the shovel to get me some snowballs. I pick up about 40 and my guy gets all screwed up. So I reconnect a few times and I guess things have weights now. Well I throw all my snowballs at this annoying snowman that keeps chasing and killing me and freezing my guy up in this horrible death system. Then I can't speak. I hit Enter and nothing happens. Theres also people walking around that don't show on the playerlist. And lots of times, I click to throw a snowball and nothing happens.

Graal3d was better during the closed beta test.

yes, and the old weapons dont work correctly. I hope that when the full game is released, it's much better.

Reconnecting usually gets rid of some of the glitches. And you get slower when you carry lots of items, they included the weight system from Kingdoms.

I've been wondering about the playerlist myself, I was thinking that maybe it only shows those at close to you, but that would be a stupid idea, and I havn't tested to see if that were true..

As for lag, I don't understand why some have problems, I run the game fine with max. settings on with no framerate drop or lag at all..
