There is no way in hell thrash got hired, as his gfx are not even close to on par with koni. Koni just doesn't have gold I suppose?

maybe koni is trying to trick us into making us think oasis is gonna blow by telling thrashsoul to find some people to work for it. becuase if thrashsoul has anyting to do with anything you know its gonna blow.

I spoke with Konidias Thrashsoul is a "Tryout" for Oasis (He is making some GFX for koni as a tryout). Koni just needs a scripter or two to help him out with oasis. Judging by some posts by Konidias, be prepared to work meticulously(sp?) because remember NPCs will say over 200 phrases!

Wouldn't you have something like this?

It's a bit more complicated than that, they have to react on sertain words spoken by the player as far as I know ;O

Err... Yeah. Thrashsoul just asked if he could help look for scripters and I said okay. I'm really tired of looking myself. I've gone through just about every scripter I know.

As for those npcs... The phrases are the long part, the actual scripting would be nothing. They say different things at random, or based on how they feel about you, or the weather, or time, or what they are doing. But it's all simple code.

I'm doubting Oasis will ever get finished without extra development help. Seems a lot of people want Oasis but nobody is willing to help make it happen.

People that apply for jobs on Oasis don't understand that it's not much like Graal. The levels and towns and such are drawn out by hand on paper before even opening up the level editor. Things are planned out in advance to make it more detailed and easy to put together. But people message me like "can I be lat, I was lat on GK" and GK levels are NOTHING like Oasis. :P So yeah... I dunno anymore. I can't do it all by myself.

It doesn't work like that. I need people that share the same vision as me. For a level maker, they'd need to be able to draw up town concepts and such and then show them to me and discuss them with me. Then they would make the levels. Not just "well I can make this just by lookin at the scan because from these squiggles I can tell just how you want it".

they already have their own server, and a FAQ position on X classic server.

Konidias, how come you never answer my messages on AIM? I have over 20 pictures of kingdoms and other maps that are drawn by hand and very detailed. I could show them to you if need be.
