I really don't recall ever learning about them in a class . But the math used to generate them in this script is really just some geometry/trig (more directly vector manipulation, but the concepts can be picked up in trig and geometry). I'd break down the method I used, but I'm lazy
this would be so much cooler if it replicated the actual polygon on each segment
