Zone has very nice gfx, the weapons are quite balanced, it's different than the other Graal servers. If there are other quality servers then they have a chance to come on the classic tab too.

Will they have the same chance as Zone did though? From what i heard the PWA Review is pretty critical and content is everything, on Zone i dont see as much content as other servers are expected to have.

Really my question is, will every server have the same level chance at getting to the tab?

And my personal feelings are I hope we never seen any of it again. Gold? Hah after the first 15 minutes you have seen it all, a Gold server needs much more than that to hold players. First off there are no female heads so it alienates all females on Graal, not a good trait and more of a reason not to be gold. Gold is a premo server and Zone is far from that. It is nothing more than a Futuristic ERA on a space ship. Sorry I don't see much imagination there. Sure I agree some will like it and some will not but as for holding a good amount of players after 30 days I don't see that happening unless they make some major changes in the Gameplay to hold interest other than what is there. It could be interesting but as it is the interest is very short lived because there is very little to do there. I give the server an "A" for effort but an "F" for conceptual concepts to hold interest for any period of time.

I liked the tile set, guns etc... EXCEPT THOSE FREAKED OUT BODIES I mean what kinda of thing has a paper thin body and a head like a watermelon? it would fold in half! Oh no.. it would fold in three, those massive abs will keep it from folding in two. The game play was pretty fun, but the gui is kinda messed, tho it got boring to me: get killin' things, shoot stuff, die, repeat.

I for one did not inspect this PW and the only one that did I know for sure of is Spark. Stefan liked it and thought it had potential, I agree the GFX are not bad but for my taste, ehh its not for me. But I don't judge PWs on whether I like it or not rather will the players like it and have plenty to do. Boredom is the worst enemy of any PW , my personal feelings on Zone don't mean squat if the Owners want it up and who am I to object to what they want? I want to see all Playerworlds do good because I realize the work that goes into one. I would like to see Zone add much to the PW to make it worthwhile going there to play. There is a lot they can do with a space theme , the ideas for it could be endless. So I hope they take advantage of that and make Zone much more than it currently is.

For the ones complaining its hard to learn the controls or what to do. There IS a place in the start that lists the commands and everything. Big letters. "HELP INFO."

Plus its not that hard to figure out what to do. Took me a few moments to learn what buttons do what and all. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out.

Yeah, the game is pretty simple to understand. Easy as pie.

Maybe some graphics didn't load up for you guys or something, just reconnect again, and you might see those HELP boxes.


Also, about Zone 'losing all its players in a couple weeks, etc'. Well, Zone isn't a community server - unlike most others. Its a fun action game. You can jump in whenever, and join games. I doubt I will play this game with huge dedication, but will instead load it up whenever I want to enjoy some nice fun killing guys and ctf action.

Don't play Zone expecting quests and playerhouses.

I would agree it may be fun every now and then , but I doubt that unless you put some serious time into it first. As soon as you log on with your 5 hours of experience someone is going to walk up to you with a huge weapon and kill you. Die warp repeat
Untils you give up or earn money to buy you a new weapon after knifing the bad men with the laser gun and plasma sabre. But to all have your fun but I agree 30 days and the count will go down. I personally dont think graal was meant for a game like that.

Kill people to make money. Make money to buy bigger guns and augmentations. Kill more people.

Another big.."flaw" on the Zone (no not zone.com) is that they dont have hotkeys. So if you run out of ammo you have to press Q, go to the fist, then equip the lightsaber and knife. By the time you do that you'll be dead. In other words, hotkeys=good, otherwise knifes/light sabers/pistols are useless.

Someone on the early posts say it has a unique Body system... well i remenber a similar body system of a server before the graal.net come up, it was UC server with Era, maybe someone remenber name it was fun

Much more is required for the Classic tab than the 3rd tab and I really think all new PlayerWorlds need to start on that tab but that is my opinion and I do not speak for all the PWA on that. Unless a Playerworld is a really exceptional Playerworld the 3rd tab is the way to go. You don't need as much and you are still developing your Playerworld but it gives you the opportunity to see how the players will perceive it. I for one do not agree with jumping any Playerworld straight to the Classic tab but as I said I do not speak for all the PWA on this, this is just my thought on it.

I believe all PlayerWorlds need to be treated equally and fairly as regard the qualifications for them to be visible either on the 3rd tab or the Classic tab based on quality and content not on who they know. I have posted before I don’t have to like it for me to judge it any different than one I do like, just because I may not personally like the theme of it doesn’t mean it cannot be successful on Graal. I like a Playerworld to have much for the players to do and have good quality levels, graphics and scripts. I don’t think this is unreasonable to expect and we do have the responsibility of making sure Graal’s quality of PlayerWorlds are going up and not down. Zone is alright but there are a lot of exploits and bugs that be abused.

It is laggy mostly because of it being a gmap, its a nice server and all but the developers of it shoulda waited a while and fixed somethings before it was released, There is not really much fun because of newbies dont know how to play.

There should be training grounds or something to train the newbs.

It feels weird when i play because i dont know what do do most of the time and theres not much to do, killing people and getting money isnt much of a fun.

I guess this is a disagreement point, I believe if they put the work into it, and it is worthy, it should go up. Moving it to this new "third tab" does nothing. If Gold/VIP Players wanted to log on it, they would have already. Being in this Third tab will not significantly affect playercount in any way.

Hrm, I would hope this was not the case for Zones being public. But Stefan had made global messages accross RC saying that he was playing on Zone once at least i am sure of.

Right, and in theory this is not bad to expect. I understand the policing of the UC playerworlds is so you guys dont get occasions of the "Corrupt Person" which happens often on aspiring new servers. I guess if they wanted a server just to play on, that is what they got.

Yeah, I know all about playerworlds on the classic tab, I did have control of one for a brief time. However like i refrenced to above, this evolution to a Third Tab will not in theory. really accomplish anything that isnt already in place.

Well usually I dont stay on a server for more than a hour.

Zone its good to play 1 hour with friends. i play it for a while and its kwell if you know what to do... but sinse its public i lag like hell X_X

GK allows quick keys. I don't like it, you need other players to play the server which is quite a dissapointment if no 1 is online playing it.

The point of the 2 weapon slots is to have two weapons. For example, I've seen you run around with a pistol and a knife. That's going to get you killed :P!

There should be a quick key change because the whole purpose of having a pistol and knife is for backup. Say you run out of SMG ammo and need to quickly switch to a knife. By the time you switch you'll be dead. However with a quick key, say 1, you'll quickly take out your knife. I guess you can say it works like half life..=)

I'm not a fan of Zone because
1. I dont really like the way the bodies look.
2. The only thing to do is run around and PK other people. There really isnt much diversity in the game play besides running around blasting your way through trees, sandbags and other stuff. Not to mention the weird noise the characters make when they walk o_O

Select your grenades you want to use in belt then itll say somthing on the bottem left corner like
Grenades (10) F

or something, then after that just push f to use grenades,

The only problem i have with gmap is when i load them thats about the only lag i get.. Like when i log on zone and teleport to a gmap it lags for maybe 20 seconds for the map to load then everything is fine.

Most of the lag has been fixed on zone i saw angel on yesterday with "delagging" after her name, ive noticed its a little faster.
But there was an annoying freezing bug last night where when you get attacked you get stuck for maybe half a second or so.

And all the guys on zone wears skirts, bloo kat wears one, it was made by him, but i think girls are socially allowed to wear skirts too *=p*
