So what do you guys think? Not just about Zone, but about the downfall of the other two servers? Please don't turn it into another arguement thread. Let me voice my opinion: I think with the removal of G2K and Rudora, Cynical and Maloria should have been put up. New-age servers are getting far too old, and I've already lost interest in Zone.

Agreed.

However i dont think Cynical or Maloria should be prioritized as being put up first, they already had their chance, judging them on the same plain as a new server who started fresh, seems a little unfair.

However The rest is true, new age servers have long since become stale

Personally I think it was a good thing that G2k1 was removed from the classic list... It's not doing much good there until we can finally finish Kingdoms etcetc...

Question:
This server has guns, why hasnt it been compared to Era yet? Is it because of the creator(s)?

Ew. Why did you make this on graal? It's not graal. It is just a crudely made Q3F wannabe...all it is is a bunch of minigames. (not to mention that most of the classes are either exactly the same, or do absolutely nothing against the others). The only way to kill anything is to pull out the damned lightsaber and hack people up. how ridiculous.

Zone is great, it's like nothing i've ever seen before, it deserves to be a gold server, it's really advanced and new, and graal needs something besides the old "PK/EVENTS/OMG OLD GRAAL I FEEL DAT O BABY THOSE WERE THE DAYS" servers.
I hope Graal2001 isn't down too long.

Wtf is this. I agree that not all servers should be PK Oriented but really "I FEEL DAT O BABY THOSE WERE THE DAYS" please i wont even comment, ill let someone else.

I hope that it has the same complications getting back on the list as every other server will. Except if it has the complications Zone did, it will be back in no time.

I don't like Zone, the bodies annoy me and there is less to do than Era. Also, the sound effects sound like Quake 2. And it isn't "advanced and new", we already have Era. Some people may like it, but I don't. :(

Haha, I just got on Zone. The first thing that comes to my mind, is that my character looks like the principal from South Park. (the one with the huge head and tiny body) :p

Zone doesn't really peak my interests... The tileset is bland and dull, the inventory is confusing and the right text on the inventory is so hard to read.

The mouseover name thing is a lot like Oasis though. I give them a thumbs up for that... and that's about it.

Uh, era is just a classic server with laggy lights and guns.
Zone, it's graphics are beautiful, the gui and systems are grand, it has unique bodies, beautiful lights, and very advanced scripts.

I was wondering if anyone would draw the similarity between Zone and Era, although this is not the same as when people insert one gun into their server they are an "Era Rip".

Yeah I know, well the concept is sorta different, so mouseover name has huge value, but I ain't telling.

Zone rocks, some buginess and ugliness, but fun.

If you can see pass all the glitchy gameplay and ugly levels, like Thak stated above, it's sort of fun. I really don't see why Stefan chose it over the other playerworlds.

But the graphics are well done, and I suppose it is suppose to be that color for what it is, but the bodies, IMO, are ugly X.x

The only thing I can find wrong with it is the bodies don't fit the tiles. BlooKat made a bunch of filter looking tiles and the bodies are more of a cartoonish style.

I am going to make a system for metroplis where you have to talk with the person first (through a conversation npc like similar to a chat room that shows your characters profile) then they are considerd a pal or whatever you like to call it then you can roll your mouse over them and see their name. I get annoyd by huge letters under the character.

Zone has some good graphics. However, the gameplay is a lot like another game, but I've forgotten the name. It is pretty much the same thing as the other game, if I remember right. Besides that, good server.

Now if this isnt Love/Hate I dont know what is :D

Me, ningnong and markb logged on Zone. I personally hated it. It's to complicated to even do anything. No instructions, nothing. So I left and played some more of GK :( . But it looks quite good..

I wasn't really too impressed with Zone. Didn't really care for the inventory or game system. :(

Why Gold server? Being a server on the gold tab doesnt make you any better than the ones on the classic tab. Just look at GK. UN and Era are ALWAYS beating GK playercount wise.

Zone has very nice gfx, the weapons are quite balanced, it's different than the other Graal servers. If there are other quality servers then they have a chance to come on the classic tab too.

I got bored after playing on it for 5 minutes.. There were NO instructions as to what to do.

Gfx aren't everything...

Zone is like... if you started a new game on Halo... and they just put you in some hallway in the Pillar of Autum without a gun... while the ship is being attacked and expected you to go fight the invaders and didn't tell you how to do anything or how to get a weapon.

The GFX are good, but it wouldn't be very fun if you ran around trying to get a gun while you get killed.

It's true though. It's like the makers of the server forgot that the players haven't been developing everything right along with them.

Player's don't know the in's and out's of the system like the staff do. I have no idea how to do anything there. I couldn't get out of the first area. I somehow managed to equip binoculars that were ridiculously hard to use. I walked around and just saw people standing there not talking. Then moving like 4 minutes later. I could barely even tell if they were alive. I thought they were NPC's for a while.

It seems like a server that had a good start, and good early development. Then it kinda just fell apart and the staff just slapped stuff together in an attempt to finish it. I really don't see what all the hype is about though. It has no real original ideas. I read the FAQ today as to what the goal is on the server and basically it's this:

Kill people to make money. Make money to buy bigger guns and augmentations. Kill more people.

Wow, that's deep. Let me shed a tear for that insanely creative gameplay idea. Wait... that's not a tear of joy...

i dont see whats great about Zone really. I mean. my sister can draw better graphics then that. no offense i'm just saying, its another Era type server where you're going to shoot the hell out of someone when they log on

I figured out everything within minutes, I like the class system and bounty rewards on certain players ^-^ Zone is really fun in my opinion with CTF and all...even though a bit repetitive it doesn't really cut out the fun factor. I look forward to what's to come in the future with Zone <3

Yes, exactly. Well, not...exactly. I happen to use one of these "skirts" o_o not sure why, it just seems to fit in with the rest of the outfit i wear. Plus the bodies are so retarded that you could hardly call it a skirt anyway XD

Hoho, yeah. This is the only reason i'm carrying on playing; im halfway to buying a chaingun. If its good, i'll shoot a few people with it then leave most likely. If it sucks, i'll just leave right away o_O

Yeah, things aren't as hard to figure out as people are saying they are. The hardest thing for me was reading the indecypherable text on the team radio that says like "say '<text> to talk to your team" or something :grin:

And if you were to put the class and bounty on a decent server, or on a different game that -was- intended to host Q3F ripoffs, then you'd have yourself a good game. :o
