And there is nothing wrong with stating what program you do your art in, MSPaint is in no way a handicap, I jsut clarified it was pixel pushed... no filters or tools involved, just line tool.

The only things I can think of that other programs have an advantage over MSPaint in terms of pixel art is layers and zoom, maybe pallatte.

Yeah, forgot about layers and zoom... and the pallete also, for custom colors... I think the most useful tool though is the magic wand that lets you pick colors of the same type so you can easily crop stuff out of the background/foreground
