It's a bad idea to use the rating to decide who will be the future staff, but it will be a fun toy. With the rating system all of the staff will just be whoever's most popular on the message boards, instead of who is the best for the job. The ratings don't even relate to all jobs... if you vote for someone because you think they will be a good FAQ and they wind up being an Events Team member, that will not be good.

Instead of the rating system, why not have primary votes for staff? Maybe get the names of the people who would like to be staff (ET, FAQ, ect.) and let people vote for them. Then the top 10% or so could be tested by existing staff to see if they are truely qualified for the job, and not just the most known players.
