Grey,
You should really read what you type before posting, you didn't even make sense.

Just sayin'.
Vima made these levels pretty quickly (wayy less than 2 months), also as he is busy with his own server.

It was more like waiting on everyone else to do their part.

Don't think anything was really made to be super quality but enough quality to be a base or structure to develop and learn from.

I don't see any issues with it but if you want anything clarified you are welcome to send me a forum PM.

Thanks for reiterating my privileges that I was granted from registering.

As a tutorial or an example pamphlet or something, yeah sure they work to a point, but in terms of having those 9 levels be the default on every single new rental server? Not without serious improvement.
The default is just one level I thought which is an outside level that has OSL tiled across it?

You're assuming that every server is going to keep that gmap, which I highly doubt.
I believe they are a good way to express ways of design and for someone to build on. I mean heck, you're working with it hands-on so you can see yourself how levels are linked, and how certain tiles work with certain tiles. Examples that you have to work with physically (internet Physical wise) is a better way to teach someone than visually via pamphlet or instructions.

No need to be rude or try and start a fight and derail the thread. The points I am making are fairly simple and you should have just originally PMed me if you didn't understand it instead of saying anything in the thread about it.

The default level as I understand it is that grass level with "GRAAL" written in stone tiles or something.

No I'm not assuming they're going to keep it, what I'm trying to convey is that it's like replacing an old, beat up tire on your bike for a newer, but still beat up tire for your bike. Sure it's more new, but it doesn't add anything aside from it being on a gmap, so what's the point in changing what we have.

What are you expecting a template to have? There isn't any point to making fantastic levels because they're just temporary and will be replaced by the owner of the server.

What is important is that the levels provide a benchmark to what the owner should compare their own levels to, and I think these levels are a good enough standard for the owner to work from.

Yea, excuse me.. that level.

Dude the only thing we have default right now is a single level as far as I know.
How wouldn't a starter pack with scripts, images, and 8 more levels help?

Lets take your 'tire' example.

It's all wet out and you have a bald tire (which is the old default), You try and try to go but you're just sitting there spinning clueless on what to do.

But with a newer tire with tread (which is this new starter pack), you can grip the ground and move on to your destination.

Horrible example but it proves the point I'm trying to portray.

You had just said you didn't do anything and then commented on worthless GDT that didn't help.

...in any case...I'm hoping this is not a "done for good" project. Because it still needs some work, several people, including myself, could make this something worthwhile.
