Change the Gameplay. I dont know about everyone else but I dont want to turn into a sword server. To be honest also, I think doing this COD-type server would be a good idea. Why? because it changes the gameplay of the server so that players can entertain themselves. Without staff having to be on every minute of the day to Host and do events. Now doing an RPG game is a nice idea too. But the problem I have with RPGs is that if you look at these places like Valikorlia, Etc. They dont have too many players. I think the general population that plays the modern servers arnt going to want to have to go through these complicated GUIs to be in a class of some sort, then go through more GUIs to fight and such. What we have to realize is that many modern players like to keep it simple, Grab a gun and shoot the other player. Even I myself do not want to deal with 10 GUIs to just shoot a gun. Simplicity is the key to getting the attention of (most) modern players. I know this because Ive played Era for 3 years now and im familiar with how everyone thinks on there.
