Abstract Art doesn't need talent. It's fine aslong as it represents nothing, and means nothing. Also, for his actuall talent: I bet you that you were once as bad as you say he is.

I don't like either, they don't show any skill, and they do not actually send any message xP

Abstract is about originality. I actually have never seen a piece of art that looks like his piece of art, so his idea was original, meaning it's a decent piece of art in it's self.
