You said it was stupid having chinese words at the end of her sentence(or what ever she does) by saying that it was stupid, you were complaining about it
to complain means (thanks to dictionary.com)
1)To express feelings of pain, dissatisfaction, or resentment.
2)To make a formal accusation or bring a formal charge.
Saying it was stupid was expressing your dissatisfaction, so therefor it was complaining.
I dont see why speaking any word in chinese is stupid, she may feel that the word in chinese expresses what she wanted to say more, or may have forgotten the english word.
