A few questions - Blessings

Right, just a few queries, since im going to be prepping a weapon soon :O

1) Do the attacks Fear and Confusion do anything? If so, what, exactly, and how effective are they, and how can you tell if they're doing anything?

2) How effective is Diancecht's blinding when put on a weapon like the Thunder Sword or Flaming Ice Sword? (I ask this because, i blessed my ice sword to leuc+2 once, and most of the time it displays ice-attack messages, and only once in a blue moon says that i've zapped them)

3) If a weapon with two different attacktypes on it (eg, cold and lightning) then, when you attack, are both those types doing damage regardless of what the little messages are saying? Or does it only attack with one or the other?

5) Is that, or is that not, a really cool emoticon?

6) Why is Diancecht's blessing levels so stupidly high? I asked wren what they were and she said +3 was like, wisdom lvl42..stupid, no?
