But I meant long after the invention of powder, anyway. If I remember correctly, Japanese feudalism lasted a LONG time after Western Europe had abandoned it. Thus the muskets (earlier guns were called something else, I forget what).

ok...you are right...and Japanese feudalism was around much later than western feudalism...but i'm not sure so much about the trading thing...they were at war more than anything else
