The Perfect Weapon

I'm out on a quest for the perfect weapon.

First of all I want to know what you all can do to a weapon and how you do it.. I know about blessing, and preparing it, adding dex bonus, lessening the weight, enchanting.. but I dont know what any of that does, how much of it you can do, which god is best, if you can do it all to the same weapon and all that stuff. I also dont know which weapons are that good but I do have a dagger of fortune.. so basically I want someone to make a guide on how to make the perfect weapon.
