Err. Smokey is affiliated with me yes, but .. I won't give him a high leadership position due to his inexperience .. perhaps a low one, but .. he'd have to work his way up, for reasons you pointed out. Trust me, I, myself, am fully capable of running a Kingdom, and I would make sure the rest of the Council was as qualified as myself (I already have some people in mind).

After a lv22 killed and stole my animated sword claiming he found it, ingame-experience should not matter in any respect. Also, people can restart, whiping their ingame-exp but not their capabilities when RP and leadership is concerned.
And I agree, when someone is blacklisted from every kingdom, there has to be more beind it than personal revenge or whatever some of those use to claim.

Ever wonder why a lot of people are disallowed from joining kingdoms?

Scamming, stealing, cheating, lying, disobeying orders, foul language, etc.

Yet you want to make a kingdom for people who "can't get into any other kingdom"?

So you'll have a kingdom which is 75%+ of those type of people?

Wow...that's going to be lots of fun

But anyway; Stefan most likely wouldn't allow this.

The most likely answer is "Fix the current kingdoms before making new ones."

Dustari's good...Forest is good...don't exactly know about the other 3 though. I mean...Bakugun *did* just recently attempt to ban forest from their island, so...

And the only crescent pirate I've seen online in a long time is Tifa o.O;

And as for Zormite? All I can say is .

I'm not saying I want scammers in the Kingdom ..

.. a lot of those people are just misunderstood (yes I know this sound silly, but it's true). You just need to take the right approach ..

Like I said in another thread:

But there are 5 possible kingdoms. If someone seriously intended to join a kingdom, but some how got blacklisted from all five of them, then they must have insanely bad luck.

It's not even that someone is blacklisted. I won't get into it, it's silly ..

.. I just want to know what Stefan thinks. So far all he's told me is that it'd be difficult x.x

Yeah, I would guess that it would be difficult to just add in a new kingdom.

I don't see too many other reasons for a new kingdom though. Its not because the players are too far spread apart. We already have a decent selection of kingdom environments (Samurai, Pirates, Forest, etc).
I just don't see a logical reason.

But, I guess you don't want to explain it right now. ^_^;

reading posts, it would seem to me that certain people are just power-hungry. i read a post that said all kingdoms were full...however i rarely see people from all 5 kingdoms on, the most full kingdoms (active people ) are dustari and forest...I've seen ONE CP person on in the last 2 weeks...a new nation is rediculous when our current ones aren't even completely active/full...look in our current world (irl) we have nations that are so full that theres not enough space for them all to live... I don't see that in graal, so how can you compare it to the real world? For every example you can give me, i can give you countless counter-examples...for example you said the real world has billions of people and 100s of nations...okay, so where are the billions of graal players? Your logic makes no sense...but you know, whatever, i tell you this though, Just say no to a new kingdom.

enough ranting and raving..i'm going to bed.

Err .. it's a comparison .. the world's billions and hundreds to Graal's hundreds and .. five.

Look, I still haven't gotten a "yes" or "no" from Stefan, I'd rather hear it from him ..

.. honestly speaking, I don't think that there is a good reason to deny a new Kingdom ..

.. there are a lot of people without a Kingdom for one reason or another (don't say they are all scammers, it's untrue) .. this would give them another chance ..

I usually give SOME of them another chance like 6 months later when a significant positive change can be seen...exampleemous + Taharu. They were both stupid at one point of time and uber scammers ;x

You made a comparison, and now i'm making a comparison using your comparison showing that your comparison doesn't compare. You don't know what you're talking about so stop talking.

Hey, hey. Why dont you let locke try it? He is a helpfull person, has always been nice to those who deserved it, and is pretty active.
My advice would be an underground kingdom... Easier to do... dungeon generator could do it.
And zell... Eww, your being an ass. Even if locke has made mistakes... so have you.

Underground Kingdom .. that is such a GREAT IDEA! I can't believe I didn't think of that! It would simplify things so much. You could get there through the underground dungeon, or through a set of stairs in the northern part of main or so. Not to mention, it would simplify level making VERY much!

By the way, thanks a lot for supporting me on this. ^_^

I wasn't in Dustari originally ... well, yes, in GBM I was (but that was when Jackal was King, it didn't last long). My first Kingdom was the Forest if I remember correctly, and I RPed an Orc .. I took it pretty seriously too, I remember I had all sorts of "say" commands bound to keys .. things like ":: roars ::" ":: grunts ::" etc. .. heh .. but then Porky, the "Orc Representative" was a complete ass .. with his "RAWR" crap all the time .. and I left Forest because I didn't want to be represented by such a ***** .. then I went to Samurai ... I've never been in CP or Zormite, probably never will be.

I've been in Dustari since September of 2001...

...To think I started out as a Mayoral Assistant to Kriton Azerrath. Anyone remember him? I met him on the real internet and he hooked me up on Graal about v1.28... I played under so many different names then, I really don't remember all of them. Eventually I upgraded, and joined Dustari because he was in Dustari (figures).

After two months, I became Mayor, then was quickly demoted to Mayoral Assistant when Kriton returned. I then became Treasurer, then Kamuii wiped all the tags. Dustari returned, and I became Sharpshooter, then Kamuii returned and I became the Royal Scribe. I quicky rose to Prime Minister, then I went on hiatus and returned again as Prime Minister. Another hiatus, and I returned as Royal Scribe (?), and after I left again, all in the span of two months, I returned as advisor. I saw someone with the rank Strategist, and thought it was pretty neat, so I became a Strategist. I remained Strategist for a long time, and then Charles Habsburg (soon to become Amelyn) asked me to be his Prince.

I stayed Prince for about two or three months, then I became King. I resigned and became Strategist again, then Dustari collapsed and Kamuii took over. I again became Strategist, got tired of that and become Commodore. Then I was promoted to Rear Admiral, and there I am today...

Okay, I think I got off topic...

Was I? I don't think that's right ..

I think that you are thinking of later on, when I went back to Forest for the second time.

The first time I was in Forest, I left because of Porky. That is one kid I am, sorry to say, glad is gone. He brought nothing but negativity and stupidity with him.

Well,

I like the idea of a new kingdom lead by Locke, although I wouldn't be joining it (quite happy as Dustari's Prince).

The idea of a underground kingdom is cool, but it's really not that hard to make a new island with the terrain generator that looks really cool, in 5 minutes you can come up with something that says 'that's home' and it's as big as main or dustari or any other kingdom.

Maybe an idea would be this:

A process for 'petitioning' for a new kingdom could be set up, say 10 - 20 people who are free of a scamming history need to share a guild tag for 2 weeks without dropping below that number to start a new Kingdom, and all 'petitioned' new kingdoms would all start on the same 6th Kingdom Island.

These kingdoms can be wiped out completely if they become inactive, maybe thier territory be a function of activity or something, not sure how to do that, but it could be neat.

Then, int he tall mountains dwarves could have reign of the mountains, the orcs in caves in the foothills, etc, Locke's fair may be coastal etc.

In the kingdom interface, you'd have an icon for the 6th island, and when clicked, you'd get a list of the kingdoms present there, and when you select on of those, you get into that kingdom's detailled area.

These ideas of course are 'in the works' as it were, please pick them apart etc, I think it could be really fun to make this work, but it has the potential for causing more problems if not thought out well.

First bottleneck... how can you tell for sure, specially if someone uses 2 accounts. That way, Graals head scammers could form a kingdom... Well, I think I'm just paranoid. The problem would be, are 20 people who for now stick together worth adding a whole kingdom? Given something suggested elsewere is added - with own dungeons, mines, items? Specially as there is a chance that you might have to trash it again?

I am aware of that bottleneck, I mean to say, if an acct is on a blacklist for scamming etc, then they don't get to petition.

My thoughts are "how to transfer the bulk of the effort onto those who want to start a kingdom and away from the staff"

If someone has two accts, generally they can slip into any kingdom more easily - nothing is bulletproof.
