BirdBird removed the outline that he already did so he could do his CGing without it. Once he's done adding color, he'll put that part in and it'll look fine

Yeah... bird finished the coloring part, and now he's adding the lines... don't have a current copy of that saved unfortunately. Ah well.. should be done sometime this week

oh god, I just realized that its left legg (our right view) (twords the bottom) is ugly. Must fix, tomarrow, too late now. I got too lazy, thats what happens when you work too late at night, and rush.

Practice. Lots and lots of practice. And I dunno, maybe look at some art books or something to get a feel of how it has been done before, but try to work out your own style, not just copy someone else's. After a long period of practice and work, you'll see improvement.

As they say, practice makes perfect. Don't give up if you don't like what you see at first. That only makes things a lot worse. Instead, study things around you, different styles, various cartoons and such, and try basing some ideas around those, then as you progress in skills and ideas, branch off into your own ideas, characters, settings, etc etc.

OMG i was messing around in photoshop and i made this awsome image really funky, but than i went to liquidfy, AND MUH COMP FROZE!!!! i was soo made, damn intel damn this mmx precessor!!! i just wish i could actually keep good stuff for onece :'(

Got bored 2 days ago and drew a cover for my Latin 1 Notebook. Took like 15 mins to shade and stuff. I changed some thigns in it since then though.

Oh yeah, I get to do a comic for my college paper!
I'll post both the picture of the main cast, and the first issue.
First the background.

5 years ago, an organization known as E.V.I.L. (Explosions, Violence, Incendiaries, and Lollipops) [I know that's not what it says on the picture, I changed it after scanning] released swarms of monsters across the land. Shortly after, the school known as Monster Academy opened. It was a training school for monster hunters, students who would learn ways to effectively battle the monsters, with hopes of one day toppling E.V.I.L. Jem has been trying to get into Monster Academy for the last 2 years, and they finally gave in after getting 150 applications in a month from her.
So after a summer of practice, she's ready to start classes.

2nd- Characters

Blaise- He's the top student of Monster Academy, perfect record, never lost a target. Too bad he met Jem.

Kimileeney Helveta Kurima - "Kimi" - A former thief, who finally got caught by the law. Her options were to go to jail for a year, or do community service for a year by working at Monster Academy. She gets assigned as Jem's field partner (As monster hunters work in pairs), and thinks she'd have done better in Jail...

Jem - The hapless heroine, she has dreams of grandeur, to be the best monster hunter in the land, too bad she's a complete ditz. From forgetting when classes start, to just doing foolish things, she causes enough trouble for 3 people. If she's the only hope for the world, we're doomed.

Anyway, that's what's up. I get to do one a week, so hopefully I'll get somewhere in the story by the end of the semester...hehe...

hehe... nice work for 15 minutes... I usually do my initial drawings in about 5, then if I want, bout that long for adding shading (Which I don't do very much anymore, because I really need to get into the practice of CG'ing my drawings to make them look more professional than they already are, so I can blow away the guys at some company lol)

Anywho, speaking of comics, I'm planning to go out for my school newspaper by bringing back an abandoned project that was based on me and my friends called Crisis Relief, turning each of us into an animal. Now, it mainly just revolves around how crazy me and my friends are and what we go through in life. We've got me depicted as a penguin (being a swimmer

), my friend (and love) Laura who is a kitty (who when colored, will look like her adorable little kitten named piper), my very political and history loving friend, Jesse, who is a bunny rabbit (Dunno why. he was the first I came up with, and hell, it just stuck

), and finally, but not in the least, my friend Ashley, who is an Ayumi Hamasaki-Phile fox.

Heh... onto the art work...I did some initial drawings a while back, about a year ago maybe, and back then, they ruled. But now, by my standards, they suck. I'll post some of the work I've done now and then, and it'll take about 4 posts to complete

BTW: In the original drawing was based on her stuffed cat, which was orange. This one is based on her new kitten, which is black and white...
