Borrowing a little screen shot from LTTP for an example..

Of course I'm going to be doing new tiles and they'll match his proportions better. But if you guys insist that he's too small, Let me see what I can do with a little thing I like to call the weekend.

I just feel like it's going to turn into some sort of Graal-Habbo server based on the current sprite.

Same. With clothes on it looks a little wierd. It will look lot less "Habbo/Graal" when the sprites have armor. I think 32x32 tiles would look ok for a sprite that big.

I think smaller houses and mabye the same sized door.

Yeah it was a quick sprite, and that in no way shows where the waist is. I was spriting what I was wearing.

You realize the perspective you gave him shows him at sort of a platforming view? Unless everything else is shown like he is, it won't match.

I'm working on that, trial and error.

How's them apples. Added a bit of shadow for a little more depth.

Noted changes, I took away his chin. Arms do not bow--they are simply pointed out. Smaller feet and longer, less disproportional legs.

I think a blackoutline would fit better, especially in a level, it will define the character better, it can also be dark gray or dark brown for that matter in this case.

edit: apparently the blackoutline makes the entire body look lighter.

I'll definitely think about a black outline though. I'm trying to avoid it, really.

He's not done, no--But I thought I would share some progress.

I just pegged his arms on there. I plan to make him angled more forwards and make his arms more fluid.

That left leg is bothering the **** out of me.

he's got like a 1.25 ft leg and a 1.60 ft leg. (Im trying to think ratios of normal to this size)

To be honest I like the coloring of these sprites more than GK/zones, Elk. My saying that GK/Zone are probably jealous right now was a joke. Though I think with time this could develop a very flexible sprite set up just like GK/Zones, Besides I like sprites a bit more cartoony than anything else.

I think the downward walking animation looks awesome. The side-view one is eh...but that's probably because it's incomplete.

My only complaint is that the perspective seems more side-scroller than graal.

Well, it seems pretty off to me how the torso is basically fixed in place with some random limbs waggling around it, in either perspective. But hey I guess it is too much effort to make an animation that looks anything like a human being actually moving about because then you cannot copy-and-paste it for every frame!!

And I don't mean anything harsh about that. I'll take it into consideration and move in that direction. Could have been more constructive with your feedback, but I think I get the point nonetheless.

I honestly can't picture myself playing a server with these sprites (Nothing against your work) I just don't think the whole slim look is 'graal-like'

Graal characters to me = chubby/cute.
