Graveyard

Never really done a setting like this, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Of course it's not done, but I figure I'd post as I go along.

It's a little too... crowded and messy for my personal taste, but at the same time I like it.

I prefer to use a lot of swamp for my graveyards.

Bottom right (from 2007)

Add more grass inside the graveyard, it looks a bit plain with the ground rocks

For the overlapping ground path tile thingies whatever, there are 4 more without any grass colors inside somewhere inbetween the lava tiles. So, maybe you can use those for the ones overlapping, so it doesn't look like errors.

I try it, they're squared off so they look more like they're stacked instead of merged. I'm gonna make some custom tiles, so those might be ones I make.

I still have no idea how one could possible correct that cliff "error" without creating new tiles.

I don't think you can.

And thanks Curt, didn't notice that bush one; I'll fix it. The obvious errors, like the pillar things are there because I plan on adding NPCs for overlay issues.

Those floating orbs are supposed to be like, ghosts or something that float around and explode. Think Kokori forest in Ocarina of Time. They're not scripted, nor or the special effects.

edit: oh man, did I just triple post!? :x

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I was inspired by Dusty's work and decided I'd also make a graveyard, using his layout as my starting point. I am not finished, I am just looking for opinions on the path used, and whether or not I used too much swamp grass. I also want to incorperate some of that swamp tile that can be found in the 'Inside House' predefined category.

The level is good, but I don't like the path. I would make it smaller.

Looking at the level I am starting to agree with you. It is a graveyard, not a walking trail. I have no idea why I made the pathways so wide. I will shrink it down.
