It's not you recognizing Moondeath's scripting skills that counts, it's that of the actual managers/staffers of GraalOnline.

Well, being a global is pretty boring actually. I got hired by James to be an Account Manager and then he quit a month or so later and made me Account Admin.

It was seriously the most boring AND EASY JOB EVER. All you have to do is check the email, which isn't all that bad, and go on the servers and see where you can help. I never ever got overworked doing it, so I never understood why all the previous Account Admin's talked about how 'hard' it was. I basically did it by myself completely as Angelos, my only Account Manager, disappeared.

I also remember a funny situation where someone told Unixmad that I was unbanning accounts that had used fraudulent credit cards to upgrade and he took away my powers without even verifying any of it. James had to go on every server and get the logs, which proved I had never done it.

It's really not all that great, the only cool thing I ever really got was getting to work on Graal2002 (Kingdoms) way before it was released. However, that was due to me being a Level Maker on 2001.

EDIT: Also, I will pipe in that I hated going on N-Pulse because MoonGod/Goddess were weirdo's about globals. I signed on to ensure that an account that had been pretending to be me hadn't signed on and tried to trick anybody and they tried to ban my account, which of course didn't work. Every single time I went on there they made sure it was a pain.

I've been lazy and busy with things in real life to be scripting things for graal lately and people do underestimate my scripting abilities and the problem of me being lazy lately. And plus I think me positioning in Playerworld administrator would be better right now since the Pwa count is dropping quickly there is about (3) remaining I belive (1 idler, 1 inactive, 1 quitting) and the Z quit (GrowlZ) and Malinko has been fired I have reason to belive so he told me he quit but yeah.

I wish I knew what you were talking about, or who you are.
I assure you that we never ever tried to ban someone because they were a global.
I do not remember the situation at all, but it might be that we had a serious problem with someone pretending to be a global, and thought you were the person, or maybe we didn't know that you were an actual global at the time, but we did not have a problem with any globals at all. There had to be more to it then that. Anyway, I apologize if there were any misunderstandings

Believe me, I know exactly how amazing Moondeath is.

I hired him on my server awhile ago. He made this really awesomeâ€* script that shot idle ganis at an NPC that had an actionprojectile call that made the NPC say something.

That was the only thing he made on my server, so I fired him because he never did any work that was actually related to the server. He begged for his job back and promised he'd do work, I rehired him. He did no work for about a month or two, so I fired him again. A month later he realised and PMed me and asked why he was fired.

â€* this is sarcasm, for those who do not realise it.

A person being considered for a global should not be based on scripting skills anyway. I don't know why this is even being harped on.
But, what you mentioned about activity as far as the job goes, should be in my opinion, as well as a persons actions on playerworlds that he/she has worked on or played/plays on.

I signed onto RC to check the stats of the account that I figured was me. You, I believe, banned my account and disconnected me and I just reconnected to RC. Every other time I went on I got a whole "Who are you and why are you on here?" and I'd explain that I was the Account Admin and they'd say "why do you need to be on here? Can't you go on another server?" It got old, fast.

You seem nice enough though and you always used to sit on Classic in that one spot, like I do, so you're awesome in my books. xD

What does laziness have to do with skill? Absolutely nothing.
Some of the stuff he's done on Kudosai is quite amazing, I think. Nothing others couldn't do I'm sure, including yourself, but better than alot of people could do.

That's weird, because I have never acted like that with a global that I recall

I heard you have to sing the Lamb Chops play along theme song for 3 days straight then spin around in a circle for 30 minuites straight then drink a gallon of water right away... Or is that what its like to be a global? I forget.

Read my whole post before you reply, please. I gave an example of his 'skill' aswell. The laziness jab was just thrown in there because Global staff should not be lazy (although, most of them are.)

Of course, the credentials for the Global Scripting Team should not rely on whether or not they can script. It should rely on how well they can knit scarves, and cook pancakes.

Even with the PWA team, they should have some kind of Developmental background, so that they can actually understand what they are evaluating.

A #gscript tag does not imply that you are a good scripter. It represents that you are an active member of the #gscript community. I think the sole reason Moondeath started talking in #gscript was to get the tag and 'show it off' to people on Graal. Pretty sad.

You people don't know him well. He really can script well. Look at his server kudosai. Like I said before, its nothing other people, like you okie, couldn't script, but its good. Of course, much much better than I could do.

That is exactly the point I was making. If you are not up to his level, you can look at his scripts and be like "ZOMG WOW" but he could be doing it in a completely inefficient way, and you wouldn't even know, and still praise him.

Just because he's better than me, doesn't mean I don't know a good script when I see one. I've been working with great scripters for a long time now.

Well, what I said just went right out the window and was not understood, but whatever, I don't care.
I have no idea why you replied the way you did.
I simply meant that just because someone is a good scripter does not make them qualified to be a global.
I think I speak a different language then most of you

You must, because you obviously do not read replys before submitting your own. You said that scripting doesn't matter for a global position. You did not specify WHICH position you were talking about, so I added that for a Global Scripting Team position, it does matter.

It's quite annoying to have to explain the whole damn conversation, especially to someone who is supposed to be a Forum Admin. God help us.

*Sigh*
I forgot since I am forum admin, I am not suppose to make a mistake, sorry.
I didn't see the scripting part for some reason.
It has been a long day, and I am tired.

Anyway, yes you are right. Obviously a global scripter would have to know scripting.
I guess I should be more specific.....

Keep in mind, I am a forum admin, not God.

One would assume someone in such a position would actually read the responses before they reply. I guess this explains why so many topics are locked for no reason.

Yeah, why was it deleted, that kinda pissed me off, are GFXers just not important? GFXers are needed just as much as Scripters! >:[

I had interest in the GFX Global job, same with Elk. They sorta need someone to officially go round and help and also look for stolen graphics and what not.

Whether you would hire them or not, GGT should come back, lighten the load of things PWA are SUPPOSED to do. Although they ussually dont.

I think he means we like Warcaptain is speaking as though it is both his and stefans choice who is on the global teams.

Ah, really? I thought they inspected stolen graphics issues and such like that. Well, I suppose they COULD if they brought it back. Bring it back with a reason.

We did some of that and also made some graphics under Kawaii, once she was gone I think Zen did graphics for GK, but I was never notified, and evenutally removed.
