Either its too dark or the contrast on the white background makes it seem too dark but I can't see any shading without putting it in Paint and zooming in and stuff.

Well, I can see some shading, but the leaves should be more seperated rather then one huge clump.

Yeah.. and i dont like the idea of the wood, looks like your hiding mistakes.
Also add more tints and shades, maybe add a back leaf to.

ok I'll work on it more

Edit:At first I had made it a lot darker and it looked like this.

But, after asking a friend what she thought, she said the leaves looked too dark. So, I made chages to what I previously posted. So does the the one I posted before or this one look better to you?

Elk you're seriously one of the most un-productive people on the GFX forums. You never give people proper criticism and make the most useless posts that don't help. It's obviously a tree because THE THREAD TITLE SAYS IT IS.

Stop being such an ass and atleast give some help.

Tell me what yall think. And thanks for the help and criticism.

The staff quit and no one will apply. There's only a few people that still come on like me, Madrox, and Moondeath.

I agree. I went hog wild on it with the airbrush. -_-
See, I use a gaming monitor and I've had the ultra bright mode on so to me it looked lighter than it really was. Then when I realized that was my problem, I had to go back and fix it the best I could. I could have done a better job, but I was trying to do other things too. Anyways enough with excuses, it could still use work.

I think ya squint because theres still not much contrast to the leaves... Its better, but the shades are too much alike, maybe add more layers of color. make things pop out.

Well, it has a button to switch between the ultra bright mode and the normal mode. Once I realized why it looked so bright for me, I turned off the ultra bright. But then I had to go back and try to fix it. I do use dual monitors and sometimes I use the normal 17", but mostly I use my big 20" since it's my main monitor.

Lol. The only problem is the big 20" messes up when it gets cold, which is why I decided to use dual monitors. I wish I could get my LCD from Jim's house. But, he passed away and I can't get any of my things out of his house.

I've got a 17" or 19" CRT. I wouldn't mind getting a nice 21" LCD... but I don't have money for that stuff at the moment :[

Very simple fix to give it more depth.

Consider the range of tones you're currently using. The best way to do this is to put "desaturate" the image and check your color pallette. You'll probably see you're mosting using greys, and very few highlights/blacks.

Take your dark tones and now add some definition below the leafs. There's a way to do this naturally, but you've dont it in such a way that you would have to entirely remake it so just do this for now.

You may also want to consider highlights and sharper color contrast between the pot and the little fence around it.
