Well, that's a matter of opinion. Either way, statements about the other person's character are entirely subjective. You can call me arrogant, but you can't possibly prove it in an objective fashion. You didn't even try.

, that wasn't meant to be responded to. Also, for one asking people to stick with facts especially, I would say that mockery is not a strong debate topic.......

I didn't
just mock you. I did it while countering your claim.

No, it means something to base your judgement on, what part of that can you not comprehend?!

The words just don't fit together that way, Falco. You can have a basis for judgement, sure, but that's not the same as a "judgemental basis". How can a basis be judgemental? It is incapable of judging!

As I said, you're that extreme case I spoke of

So what are you saying? That it's okay for you to make conclusions about me, but not vice versa?

What kind of context are we talking about here? While designing the Kaimpaign, for example, I've taken and acted on input from a number of different people. But here, now, I don't think you've said anything worth reading. I don't think I'm the only one, but that's not really important. What matters is that I think that I'm right, otherwise I wouldn't be arguing. You believe the same about yourself. You can think that I'm stubborn, but it relies on an assumption that that you haven't yet proven; that you are right and I am wrong.

You are such a painfully bad debater.

I know. About six posts ago, I think?
The point is simple: Every error is acceptable within certain circles. Your earlier lie-determination system falls down.

(as for you saying claims dont say anything, you are doing the same thing)

I have never said that "claims dont say anything". Please try to understand my posts before you paraphrase them.
There is nothing inherently wrong with making claims. But there is a difference between submitting a new point for your consideration and asserting the truth of something that's already in dispute.

You criticize one stretching a definition to suit their needs. Why is compressing it to suit your own any better?
|
Falco, the problem is that you say things like this without actually
DEMONSTRATING that I am guilty of it.

Besides, arrogance is as arrogance does. If I had gone up to that cat and said "Ha! I am smarter than you!", that is arrogance. However, if I said "I am smarter than a cat", it is a simple comparison not meant to hurt the cat in any way. Arrogance is defined when one is trying to show superiority over an inferior
|
Man, you just... you completely contradicted yourself. Claiming to be more intelligent than the cat == trying to show superiority over it.
As for the debate, what if the cat claimed to have a better understanding than you of some particular mathematical concept? Would that not be quite arrogant? Would it be arrogant of you to mention this, citing that you are the superior mathematician?
I didn't declare my superiority capriciously; it was in response to an issue that revolved around our relative abilities. Given that my claim was also true, there is no reason to interpret it as an act of pride. Who could be proud of being superior to
you?

No, I would just figure that there is a high chance that he doesn't like me, whether he likes you or not

I imagine that's usually a safe assumption. But do you have any real evidence, aside from the fact that he disagreed with you?
Quote:

It seems fine to me, it's meant to say "You are an idiot for asking".

And you think that meeting your opponent's responses with nothing but unsupported insults is a strong debating tactic? I essentially asked you why your declaration was valid but his was not. You have so far failed to answer this question.
