What you should do is create your own monsters and create a personal profile for each, on its powers, health, strength, etc. That will be a whole lot better than some Fire guy or whatever you do. Just some advice on behalf of my opinion.

Explain
It's somewhat typical to incorporate elements into RPGs. Of course I will have monsters and what not that have their own unique abilities...forcing players to choose from presets would be the most idiotic thing I could do.
My goal is to focus on unique players choosing what they want to be based upon several attributes.
Heck I could probably have one of my 2 excellent NPC Scripters build a monster that transforms to the player attacking it by matching status attributes.
There are so many things you can do it would be a horrific mistake to slough off the extra features that some if not all players want. If you don't want to be aligned with an element you can simply choose to remain unaligned if you didn't notice

However, the game will be a little more difficult since you won't have access to some of the special skills and stuff.
Most RP-related things I've seen on Graal usually allow the player to choose one thing from a set of several...there's isn't much diversity in that. I even plan to allow custom Magic, Items, Skills, Weapons, Armor, etc. provided they are somewhat balanced. That way, players can truely build their character(s) how they want to so that it fully fits their personality. I say characters because I imagine some will use their multiple accounts to do different things
Hopefully, you now understand the method behind my madness. I've layed my cards upon the table...
